Leyland Trade Heavy Duty Floor Paint - Nimbus Grey 5L

I used the paint to cover our new concrete garage floor, mainly to seal it and stop us walking dust everywhere. I painted it in stages over 2 days and the result is excellent. One coat did the job and one fence painting brush was all I needed to apply it. Looks great.

Went on well and covered a horrible concrete floor with two coats as described by the manufacturer. It was also thick enough to fill in some gaps between the wall and floor which I found handy. Appears lighter than what I would term Slate, but it is still an attractive colour.

Excellent, I did 2 coats over 2 days in 30sqm concrete garage floor with a little paint left over, therefore for me it covered 60sqm + rather than 55sqm stated. I think this is because I swept then sealed the concrete floor first (which was v dusty) with 1:4 diluted SBR. Therefore the concrete floor didn’t absorb much of the paint. Light grey colour which reflects the light much better making a brighter garage.

We bought this to paint floorboards in a shower room and bedroom. It goes on easily enough and when dry is somewhere between satin and matt which we like. The colour is quite a light grey which we also like as well. Can't comment right now on how it wears as it has only just gone on. I'll update at some point in the future. The only reason we deducted one star is that the fumes from the paint are very strong and take a couple of days to diffuse properly. Luckily for us we have a large house and were able to sleep 2 floors away from where we had painted, otherwise it would have been pretty horrendous and possibly dangerous. Definitely something to bear in mind if you are painting floors close to a sleeping area or anywhere else really where you may have to spend time whilst it is drying. Also something else to consider is that it states on the tin it takes 7 days for the paint to fully cure. Not a problem for us but may be for some people.

Easy to use (thinned first coat as per the instructions) takes 7 days for the 2nd coat to fully cure but is dry to walk on after a day. The finished result is very tough and looks great.

Very good paint at a good price. When I bought this it was slightly cheaper than B&Q. 5L did 2 coats of my garage floor with some left over. It’s hard wearing and made a huge difference in my garage ... no more getting covered in concrete dust. If you have a bare concrete garage floor I recommend painting it with this; it’s a weekends work... first coat drys overnight sufficiently to walk on next day.

used for a high traffic wooden floor. sanded, primed, 2 coats of leyland floor paint and 2 coats of PU matt varnish. Durability has been excellent so far, the PU varnish yellowed the colour slightly and I think it was probably tough enough without it. It takes quite a while to dry and doesn't fully cure for a couple of weeks so keep heavy traffic (e.g. car or boots) off it as long as possible
