Pebeo 495 ml Refined Linseed Oil, Transparent

I’m trying to improve my portrait painting and since I have not use oil paints in a long time, I had to do a lot (A LOT!) or research before I finally settled for this particular item. When I was in school we were just taught to use white spirit / pain thinner to thin our oil paints but in my journey to figure out how to perfect my painting skills I learned about linseed oil. Actually I think it was while I was trying to figure out how to make Bob Ross’ liquid white (FYI it’s a mixture of linseed oil and titanium white!) that I came across using oils to slow down drying time and thinning oil paints. I have only used it once so far but I was impressed at how little I needed to use (literally a few drops!) so this will surely last me a while! I would say it’s definitely worth the price you pay for it. What I loved the most is I no longer have to inhale fumes from white spirit (I know I can get odourless artists’ spirit too!) and my hands won’t have to suffer too. Anyway, I would recommend this oil. I’ve attached a photo of my wip. I hope to improve my portrait / oil painting skills!

This product has a top which you need to press and turn, but it wouldn't budge. Really frustrating as I needed it for my work. Another trip to post office queue instead. This may be a design fault so I warn against purchasing this product.

In photos presented as pale yellow, in fact its much more yellow than in these photos, on par with some other less expensive ones. I returned it on that basis, as purposely need lightly coloured linseed oil. If you need one too - this is not the one you want !
