DIE 12-1.25MM 1" HEX

I used this die to cut threads onto the stick shift of my Chevy Sonic that originally had a press on handle. The picture I've in included is only part-way through the job, as it did cut all the way down to the boot flawlessly. Highly recommend this one, as most others I found online were for"cleaning threads only". Note also, the top half of the shaft was originally knurled, the bottom half was smooth, but slightly wider. Cut through both sections no problem.

As embarrassing as it is, at different times both front wheels have fallen off my Kubota tractor while the tractor was moving. That makes as big a mess of the studs as you might think.Because they're metric, replacing the studs in the US was difficult - simply because the parts are not readily available. So the option remaining was to try to rehabilitate the studs. I asked this Channellock die to do that.It did. Perfectly. All 12 of them. Many were so badly damaged that new threads were simply cut into smashed metal - others required only mild - moderate thread correction. But for 12 consecutive studs, this die held up well, cut smoothly & easily and accurately. It was a bargain price but not a bargain bin product. For my use as described, it was perfect.

But I used motor to put in my Civic and some of the trans bolt holes were kind of messed up. I bought this and a tap to clean up the bolts and the holes. This work perfectly for what I needed. This is a hard size tap to find and most of my local stores so this was exactly what I needed

I bought this to chase threads on a shifter shaft as well as create some to drop the boot down a bit so it would fit properly. Cleaned up the existing threads quite nicely and cut new ones like butter. I was quite impressed with how sharp it seemed to be and how quickly I was able to get things done.

I bought a Die from another store it quickly strip out. This Die did the trick, cut threads on harden steel on a honda outboard shaft.

It fulfilled my purpose. Happy I got it. Works fine for what it was designed to do.

Needed this to repair wheel stud threads. Worked perfectly.

I needed to chase the threads on some slightly rusted bolts.It worked as it should.
