Soft & thick bristles and it applies my Laura Geller baked foundation beautifully. It gives a lighter finish than my kabuki brush. It is exactly what I was looking for, not too big & not too small - fits my hand perfectly. Great value. I have not seen any shedding. I highly recommend this brush.
