I bought this material to be a sound deadening and heat resistant barrier in my car. I had a BMW M3 that had all the sound insulation material, cracking and falling apart under the rear seat. I vacuumed it up, took off the broken pieces and put this material down. It’s sticky on one side aluminum. The other can be easily cut to fit.!!! Can be very handy in other places also!

Quality material, easy to work with. Does a great job quieting down the motor noise on my machine.

Works great and is enough to do one door, the foam is like weather striping and seem very good, the product does have some smell but nothing that was over whelming. I installed this into a van door for some road deadening and insulation from heat. The adhesive is very sticky! With some laying out and though, installing mostly easy.

Great adhesion. I bought something similar years ago that was marketed for airplanes. I installed it in a Mooney Airplane. Worked pretty good but was way too expensive. This product here is basically the same stuff only 1/10th the cost.

I bought this product to provide heat insulation between my trunk and the engine compartment of my car. I purchased two 40” x 40” pads. The product is as advertised, foil covering over compressed closed cell foam with adhesive. My issue is the stability of the foam and its longevity. It isn’t very thick, which is listed in the description (197 mil) but it does not recover thickness well when compressed. It’s almost like foam rubber that has deteriorated from age. The other issue is that, if it sticks to your fingers, or any surface, while handling, the foam delaminates and comes apart if you try to remove it. This is not a good sign that it will hold up in the long term. As I’m using it for heat insulation, I’m assuming that the continued exposure to engine heat will cause the foam to break down even further.As my Dad used to say, “I’m not going to get my hopes up”.
