How can I even review this book? There’s so many things I want to say but can’t even put Into words, but I will try. I completely loved Lightlark from the very first page, maybe it was the writing style that left me captivated. After finishing the book, I knew that Nightbane will not disappoint and thank God it didn’t! Everything about this book, I loved, and I have no complaints besides the fact that I just wanted MORE! I think this book had the perfect characters, the perfect plot, the perfect pacing, the perfect action and I personally would not have changed anything about these books. I don’t know how Alex did it, and maybe some people will think I’m overreacting but TO ME this series is magnificent so far. I would do anything to receive a physical copy of the next book. You want my soul? Take it! 😂 I never wanted this story to end and there’s something about the way Alex gives prominence to her readers. I don’t know what to expect from the next book, but what I can say was I was Team Grim, still Team Grim and will ALWAYS be Team Grim. People might be confused on how but hey, I’m just a sucker for dark, mysterious characters. I know some people were upset about Grims actions, I was too, but I’m a person who considers “intent” and I never believed Grim intended to hurt Isla. I did not expect that ending, WHO THE HELL WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE MARRIED! But not even that who would have thought Isla was the one to have accidentally killed all those people and the children. My heart breaks for her, and I was conflicted on how to feel with Grim taking her memories because it’s like now she’ll have to grieve all over again. I love Isla and Grim so much, that I honestly can’t even be Team Oro. It’s like, a song I love by Jazmine Sullivan called In Love With Another Man, when Isla said that Enya was right and she doesn’t deserve Oro, I thought about a part in the song and it’s so fitting: “You should go and find someone else, who could treat you right, give you the world Someone who understands the man you are, cause baby you shine so bright and I will just dim your star” And if you know anything about Oro and his powers that last part is completely HIM! Im so ready for whenever book 3 comes out. I have to thank Alex for making her imagination into a book, if it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t have been able to read this remarkable book. I would just like to say if you love fantasy with romance, action packed scenes, incredible magic systems, enemies to lovers, shadow daddies, then this book is for you! Don’t make me tell you twice!
