It depends on build and tall Ness. My grandson is 7 but I bought him 8yr old to fit him because he's tall. If your nephew is a chunky monkey or a slim jim then I would go up a size but if he's average then go with his size. I bought the pjs as a Christmas gift. I just hope I've helped in some way.
