The cover was nicely packed and appears well built. I bought this item to not only cover my Yukon pit, but also have the ability to snuff out a fire and not have to wait for it to burn out on its own.The issue I have is that this cover does not properly fit over the flame ring. Instead, you must turn the flame ring upside down in order for the cover to properly fit and keep out rain etc. Well that is not going to happen when everything very hot. Now, it is a two step process. First put the cover and once it has cooled, remove the cover and turn the flame ring upside down, and replace the cover so it then fits properly.There may also be one more issue as the hardware (escutcheons) under the handle are magnetic. It definitely is not SS 304 but there are a couple grades of SS that are magnetic...time will tell on those parts.

Nice quality, but even at a cost that is a fraction of the Solo version, it’s still over-priced for what it is. That said, worth it particularly if rain rolls up on your bonfire.

I got this lid for my Solo Stove Yukon 27” to keep the leaves, rain and snow away. The lid is large, made out of stainless steel so it is heavy which is a good thing as it keeps the lid in place. The lid looks great, matches the stove and has a rubber handle that is easy to grip.We use the lid to mainly keep it clean and dry and the purpose of the lid is not to take out the fire. The lid is flat enough and large enough that can certainly be used as a side table for mugs and small plates when the fire is out.I certainly like this product a lot.

I have a smokeless pit, but I was concerned about water rusting the inside prematurely. This cover keeps the rain out, plus it helps snuff out the fire after use. I still use a pit cover over everything, it’s just nice to have this as added protection.

This lid is made for the Solo stove, but we got it for a different, unintended purpose. I have been looking for something to push the heat out, instead of up, for our gas Outland Living fire bowl. I've looked at several different types of heat shields and I just don't like the legs that are inevitably on them. I decided to try this. Our bowl is 21" and this lid, along with the metal mesh frame my husband built, is doing the trick. It's 27" and pushes out the warm air perfectly in the intended direction. No more heating the air above our heads! I love that the handle has a silicone grip on it and stayed cool to the touch the entire time it was on our fire bowl. I tested the temperature when the fire was going (had it cranked to about 3/4 high) and the metal of the cover got to only about 111 degrees. It cooled down pretty quickly too (within minutes) which was a bonus. We won't have to wait hours for cool down before we can safely remove it and go to bed while camping. The cover seems sturdy in it's construction, is fairly light at about 8 lb and I'm hoping it lasts a long time.
