Great for making natto
This is a pricey appliance but it really makes making natto a breeze. You sanitize the container by pouring boiling water in it and swishing it about. I do the same thing for the lids. Just to be on the safe side I spritz the inside of the device with a little bit of beer bottle sanitizer. Twenty four hours later with the heat set at 43 centigrade you have slimy, thready, sticky, powerfully pungent delicious natto!

The manufacturer of the product states that it is not to be used outside Japan.
When I opened the package upon arrival and started reading the specification and warranty, I found I was not supposed to use the product in US. Had I known this before placing an order, I would not have bought it. I feel that such product should not be listed on the on-line market.

A convenient appliance for homemade fermented food
In the first week after I received it. I had used it to produce homemade Natto, Yogurt and sweet fermented-rice. They all came out perfectly thanks in part to this food maker. It comes with two plastic containers. I use one for Natto exclusively and the other for everything else. A transformer for Japan/USA voltage conversion is not needed at all. It is a very solid product although I feel that it is a bit pricey.

Love it!
I usually trust Japanese product. This time again it didn't disappoint me. The price seems expensive, but it was worthy. Temperature maintains perfectly, and you don't need to worry about turn off timing. My husband and I love natto; we enjoy it everyday.

Works great - good for making natto
Works well - surprised how fast it arrived from Japan. Instructions are in Japanese only but east to understand with Google translate. Only 2 settings - temperature and time to ferment in hours.

Arrived in less than a month
The product did arrive, somehow Amazon shows it didn't. Have not used it yet. My transformer for 100v is on the way yet.
