Not That Tasty
I did not like the taste of these mochi. I've had mochi before, and those tasted really good, but these ones were not as sweet. There are three flavors - sesame seed, peanut butter, and one I am not sure of. The sesame seed one has a strong flavor to it that is not for everyone. The peanut butter one and the other one were okay though.

Pretty Awful
I've had fresh Mochi before and it was the best dessert I've ever had. The best flavor of these tastes pretty meh, the worst (the sesame seed) tastes like dirt, literally. They also have a weird chemical smell to them, probably preservatives since these are not refrigerated like the fresh Mochi I've had in the past. I would not buy these again and I probably won't even eat half of one of the boxes that I got.

Interesting, Lightly Sweet Snack
If you've never tried mochi this product might not be right for you. It is not as sweet or widely appealing as some of the other mochi brands or popular flavors such as melon and green tea. The flavors combined with the learn-to-love texture of mochi might result in a negatively skewed opinion of the snack in general-- which would be a shame! For each of the flavors the mochi is thinner and stickier than is found in other brands. The red bean filled pieces were a huge hit. The filling is creamy with bits of bean to remind you what you're eating. The peanut pieces have a peanut powder coating and smooth peanut butter filling. This flavor is definitely different but not unpleasant. The kids and adults at our party loved both the red bean and the peanut. The black sesame filling is definitely an acquired taste. Nobody that tried it ate more than a bite. The filling smells almost like soy sauce. For my friends and family it just did not go over well. This product provides excellent value for its price. In total you will receive 60 pieces of mochi nestled in paper cups and packed in a sturdy container. If you love the flavors this is, without a doubt, an excellent buy. If you're not sure about the black sesame you might want to look for different brands as 20 wasted pieces is not a good value at all.If you're a first time mochi eater or plan on serving these to children, these brands are a good place to start:Japanese Fruits Daifuku (Rice Cake)-Melon FlavorJapanese Rice Cake Kohaku Mochi 8 PcsOne star was taken off of the rating because the peanut powder from the center row made its way to every piece of mochi in the container. It's difficult to appreciate each unique flavor when they all taste vaguely peanuty.

Good and tasty
This is my second time ordering this product. Good and tasty, but the second order, one of the boxes was sealed but when we opened it, it had mold... looks like the plastic seal inside was not sealed completely or properly... it kinda looked like a disgusting high school science experiment with eggs... but otherwise... good product from the first order...

Get in my belly :°)
Personally I don't think any (brand of)mochi is bad, I love it all, but these are slightly more sense than others I've had before. But don't get it twisted-these are DELICIOUS & I eat half a box in one sitting! It was really nice to be able to try different kinds outside of what I'm used to also-ran sesame is my favorite. If you're interested in trying different flavors check out 'pandan & coconut' kind also made my Royal Family. Pandan & coconut kind has the consistency of what I'm more accustomed to- super soft & doughy. Side note: I've ordered this particular pack before and it was exactly what I was expecting as far as the soft/doughyness goes. So maybe I just got on off batch...?? Or maybe they were mailed frozen & need to thaw(didn't seem that way though)?? Not sure because I keep mine in the fridge but I'm gonna let them sit out to get to room temp & see if that helps.

I absolutely loved these mochi
I absolutely loved these mochi. All of them were delicious, and there were plenty for the price. The condition they arrived in were very good, no damage on the packaging or melted mochi. For anyone who has not had these before, I would describe them as a think, doughy confection that is almost reminiscent of a marshmallow. The sesame were the best of the bunch, with a gritty, nutty flavor and a pleasant coating of sesame seeds.. The peanut ones were very good as well, though they were more on the plain side. I would imagine they would be much more popular with children. The adzuki bean were my second favorite and had an excellent sweet flavor to them.

Buy frozen ones at your local asian market
Yuck! These were hard and tasted plastic-y. I guess that's what you get for not getting frozen or fresh ones. I wouldn't get them again. They taste NOTHING like real mochi. You can find mochi in the frozen section at most Asian grocery store/market. We moved and the closest was an hour away so I ordered these--never again.
