Excellent
This is a well structured and valuable book for anyone in business or aspiring to board level responsibilities. It is clear and well written with very helpful appendices that give templates for service agreements, agendas and legal aspects.

Excellent practical advice; very readable and interesting
I took a lot from this book. The author clearly knows her stuff, and there's lots of practical information in here, some of it that you probably wouldn't find in a lot of other places or on "official" courses. It's also a very readable and well-written book, not dry or boring.I recommend this book to all company directors, and those thinking of becoming directors.

Must read for board members and potential members
As an experienced board member of many years, I believed I just about 'new it all' After reading this book I realised that isn't the case!A very interesting read that I highly recommend

Catch 22
I have always believed that getting on a board was a bit like getting an "Equity" card. You can't get one till you've been in a production and you can't be in a production till you've got one. Jo Haigh dispels that belief.

Excellent starting point
This book is an inspiration, and a very clarifying read.I've been asked to be an exec for the board that is being formed at the Company I work. In a bid to be as prepared and informed as possible I turned to Jo's book.I'm keen to implement many of the quick wins she refers to and the book has helped me begin to consider the various liabilities and responsibilities.Thank you Jo for sharing your gems of advice and creating somewhat of a board bible!Looking forward to hearing more words of wisdom on Twitter too.
