These 24 songs are an important part of France's musical heritage and have remained standards over the years. Andre Claveau, one of the favorite stars of the postwar era, and Mathe Altery, a famous singer in the '50s and '60s, together sing these world-famous tunes, which depict a cheerful and carefree France.

Nice addition to my Vinyl collection
The record is like new and the songs in french on this album are great! Very happy with the purchase. Had some problems with USPS but the sellers at no fault of their own were very tentative. I definitely will order from them in the future.

Excellent Compilation
Tried 4 different CDs of French lullabies. One was worse than the other. Some were talking in between songs, others were sung by non-native speakers, etc. This CD is the real thing, with an orchestra behind and a beautiful arrangement. Am very happy with it and would highly recommend it.

Nice variety of French songs
I play this one in the car a lot since our daughter is learning French. A nice variety of songs that kids studying the language should know about -- and know. Clear diction and nice musical arrangements.

liricks
At first my child was not too frill with this cd, it was something new to her, but now she loves it. She sings along with the songs. It is very cute. I love the fact that these are actual french songs that I grew up with . The melodies are accurate. I love the way they are sang, it differs from the more contemporary ones. I would recommend it.

wonderfully sung and easy for children to learn
I actually bought these for my grand-daughter (3 years old) who will (I hope) learn French and as many other languages as she can. These are traditional songs, wonderfully sung and easy for children to learn.

Traditional
This CD had a lot of the songs I was looking for, but perhapsthe music was "too" traditional for my taste. Admittedly, I wanted something more up-to-date, even sung by children, but in my opinion some of the songs are a little hokey. Example, Savez-Vous Planter les Choux is a great song, but the voices the man uses are weird (to me). Some of the song are too slow, too much accordian. Yes, yes, this is suppose to be "French" music, I just found it a little disappointing. But again, it does have all the culturally popular songs children need to know in French.

Four Stars
Beautiful. The songs are as I know them, pure french folk songs.
