Native from Kosovo, Flaka Goranci can look back on an extensive career on the international opera stage. Besides her proficiency in the leading parts of operas by Mozart, Rossini or Weill, she also succeeds to amaze in the genre of folk music, as can be heard with her new album Albanian Flowers. Supported by her collegues with Balkan descent Adela Frasineanu, violin, Edison Pashko, violoncello and Mennan Berveniku, piano, Flaka Goranci presents songs from Albania and the Kosovo. Loves bliss and loves sorrow always go side by side and the appropriate roundelay of symbols mostly includes spring and flowers, like lilies, roses and snowdrops. Further typical elements out of peoples daily life that can be found in this music, are weddings, loyalty to ones homeland and shepherd tunes. With kind support of the Ministry of Diaspora in Kosovo.
