These are great replacements. They work well.

These Batteries come completely Dead, Also you have to charge them numerous times to get them to store power and work. They do work however the amount of power is less than a normal Ryobi Battery. Also how know the Battery life of these Batteries is Less is because... I live off grid and use a Rybi Fan to circulate the heat from my woodstove. They last about 3/4 of the time of a regular 18 Volt Ryobi Battery. I'll keep mine as they do work and are less $$$ than regular Ryobi Batteries.

I carefully read the description about these battery packs. Particularly about the compatibility being that the originals were Ni-Cad and these are Ni-MH and how they work with the original charger. Upon receiving these two packs I first ran them through cycles in the charger, and installed one in the Porter Cable drill. About two weeks later I had my first job and triggered the drill and was disappointed to find the drill spinning at about half a charge speed. I can only hope that a few more cycles will do the trip - or am I doomed using a Ni-cad charger here????????? Now an update: After six months of use, the charging has leveled off and is consistently good now. However, these replacement batteries have faulty latching. The battery (either one of the two I bought) will slide out losing the electric connection, or even worse, with the drill above your head the battery pops free and either smacks you in the head or it crashes to the floor. Make darn sure that you remove anything of value from the area you are working with your Porter-Cable drill and using these replacement batteries.

Batteries arrived quickly. Charged up nicely and work very well in my Ryobi tools.
