Wow, learned so much!
This book was recommended by my therapist. It was so eye opening! I learned so much about myself as well as my partner. I will be reading this again too!

Life Changing and Eye Opening
Validating, informative, relatable. I have never felt more seen or understood. It's an emotional read given the circumstances but this book is the best thing I could've came across and found at this time in my life. Easy to understand and hard to put down.

Must read
I recommend this book for everyone, no matter if you have a narcissistic person in your life. It is very eye opening and alerts you to red flags in others and in yourself. Easy to read.

Excellent
This book was a boon and an excellent way to start a healing journey from narcissistic abuse. Once you’ve read this I would recommend (if you’re okay with heavy stuff—there’s a lot that’s triggering in it) The Body Keeps The Score for healing from trauma. To help with depression, Feeling Good by David Burns is excellent. Out Of The Fog is a fantastic fist step on that journey.

Poignant and Practical
5/5 stars for the concept (4/5 rating due to a fair amount of editorial errors in the book) - excerpts of personal stories are interlaced throughout the book, and the content is spot-on for those who have ever found themselves entangled in an abusive relationship and are now struggling to find clarity, heal, and differentiate between healthy and not-healthy behaviors (from friends, prospective partners, family, etc.) other than the editorial errors, this book is an easy read. It’s not “dry” like most “self-help” books tend to be. This was exactly the type of book I was searching for in my own quest to find clarity in the confusion after my own experience with narcissistic partners.

Just what I needed
This book changed my life after dealing with a narcissist for 3 years. It helped me gain clarity about the nonsense I had been dealing with for so long. I highly recommend this book

An important book
It’s an important book to read. It will help give you insight and explanations on what you’re going through, what you’ve been through, what will always be there, but you can live a life outside of the fog. It’s not a fun book, but if you’re thinking about it, then you already know you need it.

Hard subject to read but very good...
This book has more of a personal voice, than an objective scholarly voice like some of the other books I have read.I dont know the author, but it was apparent in no time that she had been hurt...deeply.For those that have also, thats not a crime.I had to do it in two parts. I read the first half in a sitting, and then finished it in a second sitting. By the second sitting, I was open and willing to learn. In the first half, there was just too much reality to deal with.Thankfully, it resolved at the end and there was encouragement from the author.Again, three cheers for someone taking the time to write a book on one of the worst event(s) that a human can endure.

Extremely useful in clarifying a period of painful confusion
This book sets out what people generally think about certain behaviour, the impact of it and who is affected, and compares it to the reality of narcissistic abuse. I read it twice when I was desperately trying to make sense of the terribly painful relationship I had been in. I’m sure I’ll dip in again at some point as it compares and contrasts the commonly held view and the realty so clearly. Thank you for this book, it really helped to lift the fog of a very difficult period in my life.

Very Helpful
Amazingly informative, validating, and helpful for those that need a little push or understanding after dealing with narcissistic abuse or just manipulative relationships. If you've ever felt misunderstood in the way you were treated by another - even parents, this book speaks to you as if you were a cared for by a friend.Would recommend 100%

Brilliant
I read many books regarding narcissistic manipulation as I escaped my 12 year hell. This is hands down the best. Clearly written and cuts through the manipulative crap to give you the clarity to take your life back
