Ideal!
I had to write this review because of the annoying negative reviews I have read on this product. If you are a lumber jack then clearly you would need a professional bit of kit and probably a petrol chain saw but if like me you have occasional needs to cut logs then this is great value. Petrol cutters are heavy for a start and this is really light. The logs I have been cutting are not small as you can see in the image yet this went through them well leaving a nice cut. I hate reviews because at times people expect too much, take no notice this is a great tool at a great price. The charging time is quite long because you have to charge one at a time but so what, this is for occasional use right! However I went through 25 cuts of this size log with no difficulty on one charge. It even came with decent gloves, safety glasses and two chains!

ok for what it is
ok for the money but you should be aware that there isn't a brake fitted ie the guard at the front which on normal or more expensive chain saws, when pushed forward activates the brake, on this it does nothing, on the plus side it's fairly easy to fit and tension the chain and there is an automatic chain oiler fitted and it does come with a small amount of chain oil, not enough though. the gloves you get with it are useless, the safety glasses basic but perfectly usable but in my opinion you should buy all the proper protection before use. being cordless it's much quieter than petrol and more convenient than corded, it's ok for occasional use

Light and easy
The chainsaw was easy to assemble and use. Being battery operated it is environmentally friendly and quiet. It cuts quickly and efficiently through the recommended thicknesses of tree limbsThe weight is perfect for my needs.

Disappointed
Came with no assembling instructions. Disappointing to say the least when you concider the damage it can do, if assembled incorrectly. Now seen that i have two batteries but no charger. Its going back. Now that i got a charger used it less than 10 times and now doesn't work. Asked for refund or replacement batteriesNot heard a thing.Angry nowSpoken to amazon and they are contacting the seller directly ony behalf to get them to arrange a return and refund from the seller. Still no contact from the seller.Update. Today 2/4/24 received a complete replacement thank you, and i noticed that there were instructions so tbings have improved and they have come good.

Not a bad item.
After looking for a budget battery chainsaw I bought this and was very pleased with this item.I wanted a spare set of batteries because of the limited running time, and the only ones I could find to fit this saw was made by ONEVAN 3.0Ah 20V they come with a battery charger and are sold by Amazon @ £39.88.Altough the original ones are sold as 36V they advertised them as only 18V so the spare set did work well.

Difficult to use
Had this item bought for me as a birthday present. I’ve been wanting one for ages. Anyway as I only have a few jobs for this chainsaw in my garden it was not practical to spend a lot of money on something I’ll only use once or twice a year (if that). This is cheap and it looks cheap, I read all the reviews about this (the good ones and the not so good ones). On setting the saw up i thought this was a little tricky to get the chain tight enough. Once I solved that problem I went to use it, I discovered that I was having all the faults that others had experienced. It kept stopping for no apparent reason. Then would go, removed battery , put back in and machine worked for a few seconds then stop. I also noticed that it was hurting my thumb trying to keep the safety button pressed in and the trigger depressed at the same time. So in the shed it went, I set about taking the thing apart,(which is not an easy task), eventually I managed to prise it apart so I could get at the switch mechanism on the handle, there are 2 compression springs in here one for the safety button and one for the micro switch. The one for the safety button is so strong that even when out was difficult to compress. So I chucked that away, the wires for the micro switch looked as if they had been soldered on by a blind person. I re-soldered those added a protective cover, put the machine back together and “hey presto” I have a machine that works absolutely perfect. I did discover though that the big red dial thing on the chain housing does absolutely nothing, the chain adjuster is the little black thumb wheel next to it.All in all I used it all afternoon, got my work done, and the batteries don’t seem any where near discharged yet. So my evaluation is that I’ve got a working battery operated chain saw. It’s just a shame I can’t put those batteries to use on other machines. Unless someone can tell me different..

Good machine but does not have chain cover
The machine is well made but does not have a chain cover which is a health and safety issue and only has one charger so a longer wait to use the chain saw
