Authentic German Bauernbrot Bread Pack of 2

My mother wanted to try this bread because she is german and loves this type of bread. She said she would definitely order from this vendor again!

I grew up in central Europe. I miss those breads! This one is decent, but after a week on the road, well... Plus it does not have a real crust, and probably never did have...

From the description, I thought that the bread would be a crusty, dense bread like what we ate in Germany when I was a kid. I was willing to pay the higher price for such a bread. Sadly, the bread is nothing spectacular. It is not crusty, not dense and chewy. For an average, light crumbed rye, it is ok for a sandwich.

I immigrated from Germany in May, so I know what I'm talking about. So, even if it looks at the outside like a German farmer's bread, the crust is not as crispy, and the inside texture is not like it. The taste is notbad, but it doesn't come near the taste of a bread baked by German bakers or factories.So, anybody who would like to get to know the real taste - you just have to buy bead baked in Germany and then imported. German bread...sadly it is very expensive, but this one wasn't cheap eather, so I'll do it it the future.

I was so excited to try this and was very disappointed. The bread tastes good; don't get me wrong, but it just is not German bread. If they would say farmer style....then maybe. Definitely NOT German.

It is very convenient to order, bread arrived fast, and tastes fabulous. I will order more soon.
