Heroin Skateboards was started by Skateboarder and Artist Mark 'Fos' Foster in late 1998. Since then, the brand has moved stateside to be distributed by the legendary Baker Boys Distribution alongside Deathwish, Baker and Shake Junt. Its controversial name is taken from being ââ'¬Å"addicted to skateboardingââ'¬Â. The move to the states has not changed Heroinââ'¬â"¢s style massively, they remain true to their roots through Fosââ'¬â"¢ signature scrawled artwork and graphics. The original Heroin logo was first designed by Fos while he was recovering from a broken wrist in hospital after an accident skating, the logo had to be drawn with his left hand hence the scrawled, messy look. Heroin has always branched out sponsoring skaters from around the world, giving them one of the most unique skate teams around. Heroin is a big supporter of the Japanese skate scene, which home to some of the most innovative and talented riders. Some of Heroinââ'¬â"¢s team riders include Gou Miyagi, Daniel Shimizu, Deer Man Of Dark Woods, Chopper, Chet Childress, Stephen Roe and Howard Cooke.
