Skunk Juice FG Earbuds White

I really liked the idea of these headphones, but after using them a couple weeks, I'm less and less satisfied with the product. Some of my complaints could have been avoided if the cord were longer, but as it is, if I put the phone in a pocket, the magnetic connector is left dangling and it catches on EVERYTHING! I've had the phones pulled from my ear after leaning against or standing too near a car, a refrigerator, and railings. Also, since the connector has no plastic covering, if it contacts metal it shorts and causes problems with the audio- so no putting the device in my pockets near my keys. I don't understand why the connection is on a six inch cord when it could have been made nearly flush to the surface of whatever you plug it into. Ideally, the main connector would be at the audio jack and not hang from a six inch cord and the connectors would have some kind of cover to keep metal items from being drawn to it an shorting. Instead of my cord being yanked from my device and ruining headsets or audio jacks, this thing clings to items in the environment and yanks the speakers from my ears.

These earbuds have extremely high quality for there price and they have a nice sound. There also good for long car rides or airplanes.

We were traveling with three people on a long plane trip and wanted to all share the same head phones. This seemed like a cool idea. Meh.Pros: Multiple people can use the same headphone jack. Magnetic attachment of earbuds to jack allows quick disconnect if cords are caught on something. You don't get the ear buds ripped out of your ears. Can gang three headphones together to share one device.Cons: Magnetic (not so good for some things like credit cards and some electronics). Expensive. Defective.I really thought these would be awesome. I bought two sets for a total of 2 jacks and 4 sets of earbuds. Both sets broke at the jack. The vendor is replacing them, but BOTH breaking? hmmm... We don't mistreat our head phones. We don't wind the cables on a "winder" or a card, we gently coil them, always, and put them in a dedicated zippered bag. We don't stomp on them, pull them from the device, jam them in pockets or purses. One broke the first time we used it, the other broke the 4th time we used it. When I say, "broke", I'm assuming one of the wires at the jack connector has broken because one earbud plays sound but the other doesn't. Other brand head phones work fine in the same device, and the Skunk Juice FG Earbuds worked fine in the device originally. They both just stopped distributing sound to one ear bud. It's the jack portion that's broken. Originally, when the first one broke, we used the second jack with the various Skunk Juice ear bud attachments and all was fine, but now even the second jack exhibits the same problem.

I love the fact that these earphones use a magnetic connector. Sound is pretty good from what i hear; i'm not a musician so i can't really be absolutely sure about sound quality. I also like the material that the ear fittings are made of. I've had another pair of earphones before that just kept slipping out of my ear no matter the fitting used. These stay in my ear just fine. However, build quality is just poor. The buds itself are poorly machined. You can see it being chipped and all. There's glue all over the earphone itself ( even though it's clear). The skunkjuice logo on the buds are slightly faded too.The free starter pair that comes with the FG don't have these problems because it's made of plastic.

Not at all what I expected. I wanted magnets on the buds so they don't tangle.
