Bought for a friend who has MS & often finds their grip is compromised...of all the aids available this is simple and super effective - might not be the cheapest but it is super effective and is easy to replace the pen.If you have (or knows someone who has) issues with their grip this is quite literally a game changer.

Good shape to grip for arthritic hands. Bought for my mum, makes the pen fit better in her hand for writing letters. Exactly as advertised and I would recommend this clever design for gripping for anyone with arthritis in their hands.

I hesitated before buying this as it seemed costly for a small chunk of plastic and a basic pen. That said, a lot of thought has gone into the design of this item. I suffer from an inflammatory, erosive condition which attacks my hands, so that sometimes I can't hold a standard pen, or handwrite for more than a few sentences before I get severe pain in my hands and finger joints. The Writing Fish helps align my fingers into a more supported writing position and it's more comfortable now.One downside - after just a few days, the supplied pen leaked and was unusuable, although a standard pen fits, so it's not a huge cost, just an annoyance.

I mean, this isn't 100% fixable to my pain but I at least feel comfortable writing with this ive been able to go back to college to do maths and I don't feel the insecurities anymore with not being able to write. I tried everything else but this is the only thing that works. My hand pains is very severe.Please can you order more i could do with more coloured pens for uni these are a lifesaverGood job i have loads cos the recent one i bought is covered in ink after i took it out for a refil😭😭

I have used these pens pretty much exclusively since my arthritis diagnosis 2-3 years ago. They don't perfectly solve the problem, but they are miles better than other pen grips that I have tried.The one criticism I would make of it is that if, like me, you have a tendency to get ink on your hands a lot, this does transfer to the fish and stains it (and I have failed to un-stain it despite trying many things).My biggest tip for these, which may be obvious to most people but wasn't to me, is that when your pen cartridge runs out, there is no need to take the whole biro out of the fish and put a whole new one in (which is a little bit of a hassle). If you are using standard bic pens at least, you can just slide the cartridge out and put in a new one.

brought this for a friend who has arthritis, did not help her and found difficult to use, but worth a go at the cost, will gain if worth and not lose much if does not.
