I have eaten at Daniel's flagship restaurant in NYC, called Daniel. His food is amazing! I am not a chef, not even close but the description of this book led me to believe we would be able to reproduce some of his food at home. Unfortunately it has not been the case, the recipes look great but it has been very difficult to source half of the ingredients listed in upstate new york, especially the proteins.

Saw Daniel Boulud on CNBC with Eric Ripert talking about their books and Daniel made it sound like these were entrees set up so the home cook could duplicate them. I should have known when the book arrived wrapped in plastic that this was a warning sign. I will gift it to a friend who is a professional chef.
