Unparalleled Quality Worthy of a Samurai - Ceremonial Matcha from Uji, Japan
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As a discerning tea enthusiast, I was delighted to come across this incredibly high-quality Ceremonial Matcha, cultivated in the historic region of Uji, Japan. Infused with rich heritage, it's no wonder this awe-inspiring matcha has satiated the tastes of even the legendary samurai warriors. For those seeking excellence in taste, tradition, and value, look no further than this extraordinary tea that unequivocally earns its five glowing stars. The legacy of this Ceremonial Matcha dates back to the age of samurai and their unbending dedication to honour and discipline. Such warriors sought only the finest in every aspect of life, including their penchant for matcha, which played a significant role in their daily ceremonies. This Uji-grown matcha echoes the refined tastes of these noble swordsmen, ensuring an experience that transcends any comparable tea on the market. The secret of this Japanese Ceremonial Matcha lies in its origins—Uji, a small town on the outskirts of Kyoto. Known as the cradle of matcha production, this region boasts centuries-old traditions, skilled artisans, and generations of tea farmers nurturing their lush fields. Harvested from tencha leaves and ground slowly using stone mills, the end result is an exquisite matcha teeming with unparalleled flavour, velvety texture, and vibrant green hue. This matcha's exceptional quality shines through with each memorable sip. Its aroma, reminiscent of fresh spring grass, pleasantly coarse the senses. The taste is a delightful harmony of velvety smoothness, umami rich, and subtle hints of sweetness. Brimming with antioxidants and life-enhancing properties, this vibrant emerald nectar leaves a lasting, invigorating feeling. What sets this Japanese Ceremonial Matcha even further apart is its extraordinary value. While other top-notch matcha's often come with astronomical price tags, this Uji-cultivated gem delivers the highest quality at an impressively reasonable cost. Whether you're a seasoned matcha connoisseur or a wide-eyed newcomer, this tea offers the pinnacle of the matcha experience without emptying your wallet. In conclusion, this Japanese Ceremonial Matcha from Uji, Japan, is a treasure waiting to be discovered by any tea lover. With rich samurai heritage, unrivalled quality, and unbeatable value, this exceptional tea has undoubtedly earned my highest praise and five shining stars.

Fresh, bright green, perfection!!!
Soooo fresh, bright green and beautiful! Expensive compared to others... but that's definitely because the quality is way above the rest. Loved the taste, earthy but not bitter nor overly sweet. Only downside is I finished the 30g in 6 days (spoonfuls may have been slightly larger than recommended)!!! I ordered a cheaper alternative (to which was no where near as bright, fresh and zingy as this- huuuge difference in taste too and struggled to finish the cup)... So if you can afford this, then absolutely recommend!!!

Why does everything that's good for you, taste nasty :-D
Ha, Ha - this is actually not a negative review, but this stuff tastes nasty!! That said, as it's a trade off for something I REALLY love (a latte made with strong espresso, lots of full fat milk and Monin's syrup), it was always going to be an uphill struggle. Well, it's 100% ground tea leaves, so of course it's going to taste 'green'. I just don't like bitter drinks, hence all the additions to my daily coffee! Probably like many who are looking into this product, I'm searching out healthy, gut friendly alternatives to my daily latte's and fizzy caffeine drinks. As I said, I love my daily lattes but my gut is telling me otherwise, so it's a trade off. I'm glad I went for the premium blend as it's supposedly less bitter than the others (there's a handy table on the product page that explains the differences). I don't intend to go any lower grade than this, so was willing to pay the price tag. I don't know my onions when it comes to Matcha, but there are plenty of reviewers on here that seem to, and the majority give it the thumbs up. The blend was easy, and the colour looked like it should do. My first try was in my fasting window, so I took it in hot water only. For me, not an enjoyable cuppa. Glad I only used a teaspoon instead of the 2tbsp that were in the book I am following!! Yet, I have no doubt there are many ways of counteracting the bitterness and I'm not giving up on my Matcha, so I will be trying it in almond milk and other recipes during my eating window. If you already take your tea without milk and sugar, it's probably not such a difficult switch for you. If, like me, your looking to swap it in for something you love but recognise is costing you more than money, then keep your expectations low and your mind open. Maybe go for the small bag - and it is a small bag!! It's not misleading, it says 30g on the product page, but it's probably the equivalent of a small tub of hand cream. Just DON'T make the same mistake I did and accidentally order two instead of one. These are non returnable, which totally makes sense but now I'm committed to 60g so I MUST find a way to love it! I gave it 4* for value for money purely based on my research. It was in line with other products I looked at and I believe that it is a quality product. Just my taste buds that aren't terribly refined :-D

Best in the UK!
If you want a high quality ceremonial matcha you can order in the UK that actually IS ceremonial grade then this is the one. I've tried a few different ones that claim to be ceremonial grade and they all fall flat to be honest. Moya always delivers and the colour, taste, frothability is always spot on. This matcha is a lovely balance of sweet and umami - a little sweeter than their traditional blend but that's what you want in a premium blend like this. Always lovely, don't bother with anything else - but if you want to try another high level matcha, Matcha Kari from the US is sublime.

Expensive
This product has a nice creamy flavour with some underlying bitterness. I was hoping to use it to help with weight control however I'm surprised none of the reviews mention the price. The pack says it contains 30 gms. (I weighed contents and there was 26 gms) The instructions tell you to use one teaspoon per drink. There are about 6 teaspoons in the pack. Therefore £15 doesn't even get you one cup a day for a week. That's crazy. Maybe the other reviewers are all wealthy types. I will have to try a more economical brand.

Best Matcha if you live in UK!
If you live in UK this is the best matcha you can buy that's easily accessible from my experience. Bright green and smooth, genuinely is ceremonial grade unlike these countless fake ceremonial grade products everywhere. I recommend it 100%
