Works perfect
Decently priced compared to others. Seems to work just as well as any brand name version I have used in the past. The spray is controlled and coats very evenly. The smell is a bit intense but I guess you really can’t get away from that. The end product turns out exactly as it should

Waste of money
If you use the correct settings on your fiber laser engraver you don't need this. Also, it doesn't work worth a crap.

Works but the settings need to be exact
I just reviewed the larger can of these so my review will be the same for both. The only main difference here is that this spray is meant to work easier on aluminum but should still do everything the basic black spray does.I've used this spray in the past and have had pretty good results (when it works), but there's a lot of trial and error involved. I have an xtool f1 and the spray seems to work well enough using the blue light. I've tried using the uv laser but it mostly just etches away the paint as it sets it.The issue with these types of sprays, in general, is that the settings need to be just right, and they change with almost any surface you use them on. You almost go through half the bottle if you get the small one just on trials. The company gives you recommended settings, but they are just a starting reference that requires adjusting. Even the settings I used wouldn't be helpful because of how they differ with materials. I used blue laser, engraving, 100 power, 20 speed, and 250 resolution on polished gold. You can get very black markings on the f1 using the uv laser but it's still an etching that can be easily polished off and can mostly be seen at a certain angle. This spray is black paint which is easily viewable from any angle and when done right won't fade, scratch or polish off easily.Overall, the spray does work but requires a lot of tuning to get the right settings. I would only recommend it if you mostly work with the same item, if you dial the settings for one steel tumbler then all tumblers should come out good.

Kind of works
Got this to use with my new laser engraver which uses a diode laser. Based on the description in the listing, this is design to work with diode lasers. When I received it, there was no mention that it works with diode lasers.I went ahead and tried it to see if it works. The first attempt didn't work to well. I sprayed it on a test piece of aluminum and I was trying to dry it faster by using a blower, but used too much pressure and the air pushed most of it off my test piece. I tried it again and let it dry naturally before engraving. The results was not very good using the default setting. Based on this, it's going to take some trial and error to dial in the right setting. Unfortunately, the small bottle was not enough for me to get a good result before running out.

Brilliance Laser Inks 2 Oz Aluminum Laser Marking Spray
I only got this because the description said it's compatible with diode. Then once it arrived I discovered that it's not. So it's completely useless for me. I also think $34.95 is rather high for such a tiny container.

Good size bottle for getting started
If you are starting with laser marking, this is probably going to be frustrating. Once you've tried a few different settings and get it dialed in, it works well. I only used it on aluminum as it says that's what it is for, but it looks like some people have used it on other materials successfully.Check your settings before buying to see if there are ways to make dark marks with your laser (like with a fiber laser), but if you need marking spray, it does the job. It's a bit pricey for the size, but it works better than some of the cheaper options like other paints some websites tout as an option.

Diode or not? Posting says yes bottle says no
I was asked to review this product so I gave it a shot as according to the product description it is for diode lasers (I have xtool with 10w, 40w, IR modules) so I figured I would give it a go. From the item description/title "Brilliance Laser Inks 2 Oz Aluminum Laser Marking Spray - Black, Anti Clog Permanent Metal Engraving Aerosol Compatible with Fiber, YAG, Diode, and CO2 Engraver Machine"Upon receiving the can it clearly states C02, Fiber, and YAG lasers not diode. I figured I would give it a go anyways and hunted up some aluminum to see what would happen. All in all I am not impressed and see no noticeable differences so more than likely it is not designed for diode lasers and if you have a Co2 or Fiber laser you should not really need this anyways with proper settings. Even if this gave me the blackest of black engraving I am still dubious due to the high price of this product. 2 oz in an aerosol can is extremely small so even with a very black engraving the cost per engraving is very high and I couldn't see a use for anything bigger than dog tag size at this size cannister for a handful of repeated uses. I am all for the use of chemistry to make lower end engravers perform higher functions like using tio2 for ceramic tile but at the cost of this product for regular use I feel the money would be better spent on a c02 or fiber laser upgraded system as you could go through hundreds of dollars of this product in a short amount of time.
