Amazing Airplanes (Amazing Machines)

Great rhyming, sweet illustrations, appealing for young travelers!
A sweet story for young travelers. The animal travelers have adorable expressions, the journey is explained in rhyme but details are factual. I especially appreciate the explanation of how the air lifts the plane, and the explanations of the pre- and post-flight. This book was received with enthusiasm and read daily before/during a long trip. If you're a creative reader (adding to the book with further stories and descriptions), this book can work for as early as 18 months, and could also be an early reader.

A lot of details about airplane flights
A good book to read if you are planning a flight with a baby. It covers all the aspects - like checking in the baggage, taking off and landing, seat belts and food in the airplane. Very detailed and a lot of details in the pictures as well. We got this book from prime book box for a 2 year old right after we returned from a long trip so it was very relevant I wish we had it before the flight, possibly could explain why you need to keep your seat belt on :)

For two year olds
My grandson loves this book so much. I had gotten a nicely illustrated book on planes and we had the Richard Scary Day at the Airport book. I thought he would love the beautifully illustrated book, and he did the first few times it was read, but it was too repetitive for him. Both the Amazing Airplane books and Day at the Airport books I have read to him over and over - Day at the Airport went through all three grandkids and they all loved it. They even listen now when I read it to the two-year old. We skype and they have a copy of the airport book and I have a copy. There is something about the simple illustrations in the Amazing Airplane book he loves so much and he loves to tell me what's on the snack tray and whether or not everyone has their seatbelts on. Day at the Airport too - with all it's busy detail I can't understand why they love it so much but they do - especially finding the green pig chasing his hat in a different place on every page. This showed me that books I think they will like they don't necessarily like. I highly recommend Amazing Airplanes and just bought him for Christmas the little carrying case that has several of the books about different type of transportation. We'll see what he thinks. If he loves them that much I will probably have to buy a set for myself to read to him on Skype. Highly recommend for 2-3 year olds.

Cute little book on air travel
Amazing Airplanes is a cute little book for toddlers and preschoolers interested in airplanes and air travel. While I still find Airport to be the best book for young children on airplanes and flying, Amazing Airplanes definitely has its own charms, and covers some topics not tackled in Airport. The cast of animal characters is appealing, and the illustrations are lighthearted and sometimes comical, such as the gate agent frowning at the "canceled" sign and the Lady Gaga-esque getup on the feline flight attendant. The text does a nice job of explaining complicated concepts such as aerodynamic lift and air traffic control in a simplified way that young audiences can understand. Some topics are not particularly applicable to U.S. domestic air travel, such as flight attendants who bring you "magazines and trays of food to eat," but these are minor points easily skipped or explained if necessary. ("That won't happen on our flight.") On the whole, this is a fun book for young children anticipating an upcoming flight or simply interested in airplanes.

Really Cute Book About Planes!!!
My son is three and is just now getting into books, so I went to Amazon and ordered him a bunch and this is one of them. My son likes this book and it keeps his attention, which I wasn't sure it would do. The text is rhyming and the story tells kids all about planes and the airport and what all happens. It actually tells alot of info in a cute way. I like it so much for him, that I found and purchased another book just like this one, but about fire trucks, which my son loves. I would definately recommend this book.

Excellent toddler airplane book
My 2 year old is obsessed with airplanes and he loves this book. Was skeptical at first but he makes me read this book over and over again. Very cute theme with rhyming. Kept short which is great for little minds.

Best Series of Books
I love this airplane book and the entire series by this author (I bought all 10 books). The pictures are engaging and the words rhyme so well and the information presented is great for kids. My 2 year old loves these books and "Amazing Airplanes" in particular. He has learned all the parts of the plane and remembered them when we took a flight recently. I highly recommend these books.

Cute book for toddlers
My son (almost 3) loves this book! I purchased to read to him before a long trip which had to be cancelled because of Covid but we still have fun reading about airplanes. Super cute and definitely recommend this book

3 year old loves it
We got this book to prepare our little girl for going on an aeroplane for the first time. We even read it on the plane and it breaks down the process of going through the airport and travelling on the plane. Lovely rhymes and pictures, we ended up getting the others in the series.

Airplane Amazement
This takes me back to when I was nervous about flying. However, I learned to just ease off the nerves and forget about my flying worries.
