Robot Toys - Remote Control Robots for Boys Girls

Having a fair few nieces and nephews I’ve bought 3 or 4 little RC car/creatures over the past decade, and this is probably my favourite. The controls are really intuitive and easy to use- kids have a tendency to just push all the buttons at once and get caught against walls and furniture, but something about the controls on this just seemed to work better. The little robot is also very cute, and my nephew immediately called him Wall-E and formed a cute attachment to him. Build quality was nice and I love that it comes with its own screwdriver!

Ordered this robot and the first positive is that it is bigger than I imagined it to be. It did require 5 AA batteries, two in remote, three in the robot, and was them ready to go, and what a surprise. It is so nippy it took me a couple of attempts to add a short video, although I know my husband was having fun with the remote. It has a clear to follow instruction booklet and the robot is very responsive to the remote control. It was a speedy of little robot and had the added bonus of flashing eyes and music to the movements. Very well made compared to another I have and robust for the price. Very happy with this purchase.

For £15.99 ( at time of review ) this is a fun little bot although pretty basic. You will need 3 AA batteries for the bot and 2 AA batteries for the remote, for a little more money you can find similar robots which are rechargable. Luckily I've got plenty of rechargable batteries laying around. It comes with a decent instruction manual, and even a small screwdriver for removing the battery covers. Another nice thing there is the screws are ' captive ' so do not fall out when removing the covers. It has a simple remote with forward / backwards, turn left / turn right. You can also toggle the sound on and off. Finally there is a ' Demo ' button which runs through a preset routine. Overall I think it is a bit of fun and not bad for the price, construction seems OK and the ears and arms can be moved.

First impressions do not do this little remote control toy justice the overall appearance of the instruction leaflet and packaging does not do this little toy justice it is so easy to fit the batteries you get a little screwdriver very impressed with that so you can start straight away as long as you have the batteries however it does take five batteries which is a little disappointing but the maneuverability of the robot is fantastic easy to operate the controls are really clear and precise and very impressed love the little noises

I’ve ordered two of these and neither of them work! The wheels don’t turn. Fuming

My nephew loves this robot toy, he like all rc toys but he never had robot itself. It is RC which drives, spin, play sound through speakers. Robot it actually decent size, made of plastic of course but feels durable enough. I was hoping personally it will have proper tracks rather than wheels hidden in tracks, because of that he couldn’t use it on carpet much, so he needed to go to hard floor to use it fully. Wheels don’t stick out much so need very hard surface to drive on. It is very funny toy for kids, nephew is only 4 bit he had lots of laughs. Robot as well remote control take AA batteries, all 5 of them so I can recommend buy rechargeable ones together with toy otherwise it will be expensive to run. Toy doesn’t cost much so plus batteries is still good deal.
