Smaller than Realized
The book arrived way ahead of time :) . Packaged securely so the book would NOT bend. I thought the book would have been larger but maybe I didn't read the description,(details) enough. that's why the 4 *'s, because of the size, It's about 5"x5." I thought by the picture that it was the size of a regular book(notebook paper size).

Much smaller than I expected. 4 1/4'' x 5 3/4''
The description said "chunky", there is nothing chunky about it. It will work fine to put in the travel bag to occupy a 6 and 7 year old for a little while when at the doctors office or something like that, but not any great length. They lose their interest in it pretty quickly because it is very simplistic but does get progressively more challenging. My boys regularly take art classes, so it may be better suited for true beginners to get them interested in drawing. It's exactly the same as the larger "How to Draw by Barbara Soloff Levy", which I think would be a better choice because of a larger drawing surface (8 1/4'' x 11'').

I love this! I bought it as a stocking stuffer ...
I love this! I bought it as a stocking stuffer for my 6 yr old daughter who loves to draw. It is very small, pocket sized. There are no instructions on the inside, just step by step sketches to follow, and even a practice page for each animal. It was a great price and exactly what I was looking for.

Perfect for road trips of plane rides
So, when I bought this I didn't actually realize it was an "on the go" version, meaning it's liiiiittle bitty. However, I am not unhappy with it, just not expected! Perfect for road trips of plane rides!

Drawing on the Go! makes me want to learn to draw
Barbara Soloff Levy has produced a book which helps our first grader figure out how to drawfigures of persons which are "active", that is running, walking, sitting, etc. Great book andI know it will get considerable use in the years to come. As always, Amazon delivered on timeand the book was well packaged and in excellent condition. Thanks so much.

Yea I Can Draw!
What a fun book -- so easy to follow -- makes you feel like an artist even if you aren't. Children, adults all can benefit from this as a learning tool. Drawing on the Go Animals, All Kinds of things and Dover Book How to Draw are 3 must haves if you are working with children. All adults who think they cannot draw should purchase any or all 3 of these books - they will be patting themselves on the back after their first try.

great for the beginning artist!~
my 5yr old has found drawing to be a fun thing to do.He tries very hard to draw things he sees as well as use his imagination.I bought this book to give him a little help in drawing and he loves it!It's good practice for him and he has yet to be tired of the book!

Ok book
This book is for really small kids who don’t know the basics of drawing. My kids didn’t find it helpful

Tiny book
I was expecting a normal size book but this is a tiny pocket book and there's not much to it. I was disappointed.

Please don't waste your time
Please don't waste your time. It's a joke for people like Barbara Soloff Levy to be selling to make money off a toy book of a sort. It's very very annoying. How low and desperate for money can anyone be to be selling anything like this.
