This is a great viking helmet for the price. I really liked that it was a flexible material rather than hard plastic - fits much better and is more comfortable to wear. The helmet is made out of some sort of rubber or foam but it doesn't feel light or cheap. When you put it on, you don't worry that it is going to fly off. The wings on the side are made of a similar material, which is stiff enough that they don't flop over.The downside - it came kind of squished but I have re-formed it and set it out to let it go back to its original shape. I don't anticipate it will be a major issue.tl;dr - Buy it for the viking warrior queen in your life.

Because it looks metallic, I thought it was hardier than it is. It really is made of an insulative type spongy rubber that can tear easily. I accidentally tore away one of the lower feather tips when I was eagerly opening the packaging. It is attractive and comfortable (albeit warm) to wear. Perfect for a Hermes costume.

Sturdy. Kids love it for play time and dress up. Came a little bent in transit but over time it relaxes into shape. Kind of rubbery feel, color is good, no issues with paint coming off.

I bought this for a Thor costume. Its very comfortable, fit perfectly, no chin strap so you can't bend over with it on. It's very soft so I have it resting on a water bottle so it won't get ruined.

So flimsy, my son could not wear it. The wings were droopy and looked rediculous. We are past the return window so a big waste of my money.

This is sold as a WOMENS helmet. It barely fits on my head! In the picture you can see it is more or less resting on the top of my head. If I push it down it just slides back up. Haven't figured out how to "pin" it down. Also made of a foam like material so the wings on the sides bent during shipping and are now shaped funny. It will still work for the Valkyrie cosplay I am doing, but would be better if it actually fit a grown up sized head.

Read the reviews and looked at the few pics. Cool helmet IF you have thin hair. If you have thick, curly, or puffy hair, don't order. Also the wings are flat against the helmet so you're gonna have to do some work making the wings look like they do in the seller photo. This also comes in via USPS. My box was smashed all to hell, not securely taped, it had ONE piece of tape (seller issue) to keep it closed, and one wing moves. IT'S NOT SUPPOSE TO MOVE!!! Heads up if you are able to return it, you need a printer to print the return label. It's not a download scan like most items. Overall, cool hat, but for the price, I want it to fit and not have to macgyver the thing.UPDATE:If you must return it and they send you out a return label (that you have to print off), beware you CAN'T you the same box with the return label they provide. I tried this and the post office advised me that I would need a priority mail label to return because the item was too big to return. Then they suggested I buy a smaller box to return it and that was gonna cost $10.00. So just READ the reviews and buy at your own risk. It is a cool looking helmet, but again, if you have curly, big, or puffy hair, it's NOT gonna work for you. TM.

Fit a little lose but I sewed a chin strap on and it fit fine. It's kind of soft so feels much better than plastic helmets. Good quality.
