ToughBuilt 360 Degree Pocket Level - (TB-H2-L-4R)

I manage the quality assurance department where I work and thought this would be a nice item to use on very large welded frames, where I can do some quick spot checks on items being fabricated. i read some reviews about accuracy, so I had some reservations about buying this. I decided I would check this using a precision ground 6 inch "V" block ( A "V" block is basically a block of steel where the block has a side which has been milled to form a V shaped channel along the entire length - I hope I didn't lose anyone) The V channel has (2) 45 degree sides, so All I had to do was set the level to 45 degrees and seat into the block. the level and it showed a perfect 45 degree angle with a tolerance of about +/- 1 degree. Not bad at all. Another individual noted that they replaced the locking set screw with an M8-1.25 cap head bolt, I explained that to one of my machinist co-workers and he was kind enough to cut an M8-1.25 cap head bold to proper size and it works just fine as a thumb screw lock, eliminated the need for an allen wrench - that was a very bright idea.

I have 4 of this brand. all excellent . the best built i have used. and i have had many levels over the years

The concept of this pocket level is very good and it could be improved in so much better way. The rotating vial can be more accurate. I mean if you have added the gradual numbers providing so much precision, that wheel need to have a kind of locking system for each degree, to feel and sound like when you trying to open a safe vault door when you rotating the steering wheels locks. But that does not exist in this product and therefore there is no accurate reading on this. Also the rotating vial is plastic which is not ideal. Preferably aluminium also will make it better. The material built of is probably aluminium which is good. Other than that is awesome

It’s a great level with the ability to do in the angle that you need, its a excellent tool
