I have tried many different masalas made by different companies. They have ranged from just ok, to ick! I can honestly say this Curry Vindaloo Masala is great!First note - it is actually hot! I was happily surprised when I tasted it right out of the jar, and thought to myself 'okay, I may have to tone this heat down a little.'A suggestion for any one who finds the heat a little too much, when adding the water (as described in the directions), use half water and half heavy whipping cream (although, you could probably use half and half, instead, but it would not be as creamy). It is amazing.We used two bottles, one recommended measure of water and for the other measure of water, we used heavy whipping cream. We added cauliflower (a head and a half), one red bell pepper, one orange bell pepper, two hand-fulls of green beans (all cut to the size we liked), and 8 chicken legs with the skin on. The chicken being cooked in the sauce with the bone in and the skin on, does add flavor (and, of course, can be removed prior to making your plate.) We didn't have basmati rice, but used our full-grain rice from Costco.It was a great, filling meal, with enough left over to freeze for later use.My husband thought that next time, we should use 3 of the bottles of the sauce and use two recommended parts water and one replace the third part of water with heavy whipping cream, in order to retain a bit more heat. (it would really be determined by how hot one can reasonably take their food.)Ya, you can pay a bit less for another brand, but it really isn't worth it. This brand (Curries By Nature) really does taste like Indian curry! So glad we found them :) .

I bought them based on a lot of good reviews. But the fact is, the paste is quite watery even though it says "concentrated", which is not! I would suggest to only mix it with a little bit of water if you want! Very Americanized style butter chicken. Nothing close to those in traditional authentic Indian dishes. It tastes like watery pasta sauce with some ginger. Thats it!! Kind of disappointed.

This is so good! A little spicy. The first time I made it, I forgot the water but it was still good!I am now doing keto so instead of potatoes I added cauliflower. I also added chicken, onions, and mixed bell peppers. I could eat it at least once a week! So glad for this sauce. I am Scandinavian and couldn’t cook Indian food for the life of me but I love it. Now I can have it anytime!

Excellent product - I will order had to keep it always in stock on my pantry shelves. My husband and I both love Indian food and this is way easier than takeout and pretty much as good as our local restaurant.

I have been searching feverishly for a bottled Vindaloo sauce to avoid going to the grocery stores during the pandemic. The six-pack arrived with all bottles intact. I was so happy to find this six pack and a sauce advertised as Hot in terms of heat and spice. Unfortunately it is not Indian Hot and is more American Mild with very little heat. It is very fragrant and I sneezed quite a bit once I opened the container. It was also not as thick as I would like the the instructions recommended adding water. I would advise against this if you are used to Hot Vindaloo and just simmer it very low. I used cubed lamb as my protein. I will try it again soon but I will stick to some other brands I like which I can also have delivered.

I am addicted to this stuff.. I can make chicken butter masala or paneer masala with this wonderful curry paste on the fly. You can include additional ingredients of your choice to make any changes if required, however for me its the best masala available for Indian savory cooking. The ingredients of this masala are so authentic with no preservatives, its smells and tastes so so ..amazing. I have been purchasing this item from Costco and wholefoods earlier. Such an great feeling to be able to purchase this item from Amazon with click of button. I am going to purchase it again and again...

I really love the taste of this product. It had great flavor and nice heat to it. No complaints about the product itself, but only 4 of 6 jars ordered made it to my house in tact. Perhaps it was the seller’s packaging. Perhaps it was the post office’s fault. But the price for six jars went up considerably since I only can use 4. I hope the seller will address this and then I will revise this review accordingly.Update 11/28/2020The company contacted me and said they would send me two replacement jars. That was good, but I ordered a second box of six and it arrived today. One of the jars in that box was broken too. That means 3 out of 12 jars arrived broken. I wouldn’t call a 1/4 damage ratio a good experience.I didn’t reach out a second time because I don’t think it is a good investment of time.My advice is to try and buy this product at the store and let the retailer deal with the damaged goods and the mess that comes along with it.Bottom line: Great tasting product. Sub-par packaging.

Really impressed by this product. Its hard to find a good sauce that has the right level of spice blends. But Curries By Nature certainly took care of that. This has been a great product to use in my kitchen. I've been combining it with meats, potatoes, all sort of vegetables. The versatility amazes me, and food is always a hit at home with the Vindaloo sauce. I would most definitely recommend !!!
