Chillies 'n' Spices Gift Seed Kit. 6 Sensational Chillies & Spices Packed with Flavour. Easy to Grow.

I brought this as a Xmas gift 2022. Happy with the package and the contents. We followed the instructions and planted all the seeds in the biodegradable pots in March using the compost In closed in the package. Unfortunately the only seeds that grew were the coriander no chillis. I sent an email to the address in the instruction booklet. A whole new set arrived today. Fingers crossed this one works. Overall happy with the package disappointed no chillis grew.

Bought this as a gift for my mum.. Seemed OK, packaged well but think she struggled to grow anything decent.

Lovely packaged product. Would definitely recommend as a nice present, as box and presentation fantastic. All seeds sprouted and the starter compost was of exceptional quality. However, there weren't many seeds per packet and I hated the biodegradable pots. They absorbed the water too quickly, making the compost muddy initially and then evaporated within a day, leaving it dessicated. They needed watering too often to stay moist and quickly sprouted mushrooms (I have never grown or tried to grow mushrooms, so spoors just have been in pots). The coriander also came out leggy, and I'm not sure these are the best pots for coriander. I'd put it down to my poor watering technique, but I have seedlings in other pots next to them which are flourishing. The plant markers are also impractical. So lovely as a present, but not sure I'd buy again for myself.

I followed the instructions to the letter and not one of the seeds grew at all, some of them were mouldy in the packets but assumed they still might grew, but nothing...

This is a really cute product. The instructions are easy to follow, you get a good selection of seeds and plenty of soil. The pots in the photos are not available at the moment but the smaller alternative is still sturdy and I love that its biodegradable. Straight from pot to ground. They sell other kits as well so if I manage to make any of these grow, I shall order some more to try out! Good value for money.

These take a while to start growing. Took longer than stated time in box. Don’t use included pots & compost. They dry out too quickly and take slower to grow. I used bigger pots and proper compost. And they need lots of love and warm place (I grew mine in conservatory).Chilies supposedly are loved by alphids. I have to wash them off and spray with tea tree oil.Chili Habanero is the spiciest, then cayenne, then jalapeños. Habanero is really really spicy. I got 4 plants of each chili and planning to winter them. I didn’t need herbs included (had coriander already). I tried growing cumin from set, but it died off quickly.They have been green for a while now, still waiting for them to change colour.

I bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas last year. A guy who has everything, he was pleasantly surprised by this gift as it was something he was totally not expecting and he's a huge fan of chillies and spices. He didn't try all of the different types of seeds but he successfully grew a Jalapeno over the summer. Only one out of the roughly 10 seeds from multiple packets worked out however, but this may be down to us growing them a little late (April/May). Plenty of seeds and accessories to give them a go at the right time next year and we can use some of the seeds we gained from our Jalapeno.
