MAD SHARK 5 Inch Ultra Sharp Paring Knife, German Stainless Steel, Ergonomic Handle Design, Chopping Knife for Precise Cutting, Peeling, Slicing

Like many others having trouble finding a paring knife that is razor sharp, not flimsy, and will cut easily, I took a chance on mad shark paring knife. It comes in its own box, opens easily. The knife has a curved handle and balanced weight, easy to hold. First test cutting a piece of paper, sliced right through it no problem, second test cutting plastic wrap, right through it, next slicing my just picked garden ripe tomato, perfect sandwich slice. Trimming raw steak, no issues. Cleaning and washing the knife, no problem.I was so impressed by this brand, I just purchased a set of steak knives made by mad shark which will be arriving this Friday. Maybe now I can put away the sharpening steel. Worth the money? Yes

Paring knife is SHARP, SHARP, SHARP! I used it for the first time in watermelon. It sliced through the rind like it was butter. Glided right through, smooth and way easy. So as I am slicing the melon the SHARK barely touched my finger. It was so light I didn't even feel it. But left a little slice on finger, nothing major because I was being mindful of how sharp the knife is. It could of been much more worse if not paying attention. So please if you are getting this knife be very aware of the sharpness and keep it safely away from fingers. Not recommended for kids to use at all. Needs a Hazzard sticker on box. And speaking of box it is a magnetic closer, so after using, I washed and dried it and wrapped the little micro fiber cloth around it and put it back in the box it came in. This is not a knife to put away just any way. It needs to be washed, dried, and put back into the box it came in so accidents don't occur when not in use. It has a nice feel to the handle, the knife point itself is sharp and I wouldn't want to be poked with it. I bought it on like new for a little less cost wise. I really like the knife and I would think it would last a very long time if taken care of. I don't really feel like it is one for everyday use, but used for hard to cut through foods.

Great size. Fits nicely in my small hands. Is super sharp. The weight and it's distribution are nice. It's great for cutting grissel and fat from meat as well as small amounts of veggies. I can shave the skin off of a cucumber super thin without wasting the meat of it. It also came beautifully packaged in a nice box and would make a great gift.

It's sharp out of the box. It has a small blemish on the back of the knife that doesn't effect the cutting. Feels good in your hand.

I’ve been using this knife for 6 months. It arrived super sharp and held its edge for longer than any knife I’ve owned in the last 40+ years. It slices ripe tomatoes as thin as you’d like - the ultimate test IMO. I’ve sharpened it only once over that period as I just sliced another beautiful tomato, was reminded that this knife deserves a 5-star review.

Very nice knife so far. I like the balance and feel. Haven't needed to put an edge on it yet so I hope it takes well to sharpening.

I love that this is a good paring knife. It fits my hand and the blade looks strong. This is a great price for a high quality knife. I would recommend this for anyone that likes to cook and appreciates a good knife.
