Works with the surge.
To be clear I am brand new to drumming and got a surge kit for my birthday. I bought this mistakenly as an add on for my surge kit. The clamps do not fit the surge, but you can by some spares super cheap. Other than the fact that the drum head is black and doesn't match the white heads on the surge it works just fine. It is dual zoned so you can get impact from the mesh head and rim. For the price this is an excellent purchase.

Great addition to drum set
My teen son loves this add on to his electric drum set. He installed himself. Fit perfectly, no complaints.

It's well worth the moneyt
If your looking to try your hand at playing the drums , this is a fantastic choice. They ate easy to use and set up. The cage is a little wobbly. Which will become problematic later on,I'm sure. But overall it's a fantastic product with all of its free software And such.

The sound is so crisp!
I like the drums as they are easy set up and fantastic to play. They sit next to my acoustic set. Both are very different but very similar in playing. I love this new edition as it is going with me to Florida for the winter.
