A QUALITY POWER STRIP INCORPORATING EXCELLENT FEATURES
I purchased this product along with two other surge protection extensions for different uses. This one was to be wall mounted at a single socket that I required to plug in 4 items.Having taken time to make my purchases this turned out to be one of them. It’s obviously a 4 way extension cable with surge protection and 4 USB ports, so I won’t explain how useful it is, as I’m sure you already know that.Packaging is a well presented outer sleeve in quality card which slips off to reveal a simple brown cardboard box. Inside contains a small well presented instruction sheet, Quality Control tag and a card with contact info. The extension itself is protected in a bubble wrap bag.The extension is manufactured from plastic which feels like a good robust quality item, there are no loose parts or poor injection mould issues so everything fits together well. Technically this is a 13 Amp, 250 Volt unit with a rated power of 3250 Watts.USB is 5 Volts with two connectors providing 2.4 Amps and two providing 1 Amp, with a maximum allowance of 6 Amps. I have a NAS, PC Monitor, PC and a Mac connected as well as two mobile phones via the USB ports on and off, to test the capabilities The unit is easily able to manage all of this and more.If your fitting to a wall, the position of the screws are 4.7CM from the bottom and 0.6CM from one of the sides. The distance between the screw centres is 22.1CMCable length is 1.8MExtension is 24CM long, 8.4CM high and 4CM deepUnit ID is DB30WS-4AK4UThere is one switch for the unit which is lit red when on, controlling all 4 sockets and the 4 USB sockets. The only negative point I have is that if you plug a small transformer plug into one of the sockets with an upward exiting cable, it will either block the switch, or block the USB ports with the exception of the third socket along. Luckily I only have normal plugs connected so its not an issue. The unit has a 0.8CM protruding top section which could cause issue with some transformer plugs not being able to plug in.However, it is understandable in such a neat compact unit but something to bear in mind, if connecting anything other than regular 3 pin plugs.Note that I shortened the cable length for my specific requirements. This was aided by the fact that the plug is not a moulded one. I also mounted it upside down so the cables were close to a cable management tray under my desk to keep things neat.I was VERY pleased with the finished job and would happily buy another.I’ve submitted photos to demonstrate all of the points mentioned above, including the finished item. Ultimately I would recommend this extension as a good purchase.

Unlike any other...
First of, this is the nicest "unboxing experience" I've ever had with a power surge protector, which is not something I ever thought I'd say. The box it comes in have a nice cardboard sleeve, and the box itself is really sturdy. Open it up and there's no messing around, no useless user manual with reams of instructions in every known language (not that anyone would ever need one of those anyway), just some simple bubble wrap and the product. This thing is really solidly built. The plastic is thick and weighty, with a nice finish. The usb ports have icons above them telling you whether the slot is more suitable charging phones or tablets/ laptops so you don't waste power. Then the power sockets themselves have a really smooth "insertion experience" that's hard to describe but feels really satisfying. Now, here's hoping that it's also really good at not ruining my computer in case of a lightning storm! It also comes with a free 12 month warranty, which is nice.

2.4A USB port doesn't really work
I decided to check how much current I'm getting out of the 2.4A USB port, and it turns out it's just the same as the 1A port. Using the same USB cable with an iPad charger, I'm easily able to get 2.4A. So if this is important to you, I won't recommend going for this extension.

Standard extension lead with excellent USB ports.
Standard extension lead with excellent USB ports. Bought almost 4 years ago, used almost daily and still works great! The USB ports charge smart phones and tablets as quick as most chargers. Even when all 4 ports are in use. Cannot rate this product highly enough! The only issue I've had - and it's an easy fix - is the black lead going into the case-housing started to expose the blue/brown wires within. Some duct tape wrapped around the lead sorted it. Considering this extension is used at work, packed and unpacked daily, and used in a variety of different places, a bit of wear and tear is natural. If they made any longer leads, I wouldn't buy any other extensions!

Solid extension lead, molded plug
Good solid extension lead.2 USB ports output 2.4A and the other two 1A each. Power supply seems stable and doesn't fluctuate too much.Note that the plug is molded on the one I received despite the reviews and pictures showing otherwise, it did not match the actual product. Bit disappointing as it is such a waste having to snap it off.The extention lead is quite hard to open because of the type of screws used.

Very handy, but expensive, way to minimize on space
This was a very handy outlet extension - my current entertainment centre was pushing the 6 plug limit, however most devices were USB powered (Raspberry Pi, Firestick etc) so having a power outlet with USB power on them is a fantastic way to minimize on space. The device works perfectly fine, powering my TV, Xbox, Wirless Router, External Hard drive (USB), Firestick (USB) and Raspberry Pi (USB). My gripes are that if you have a stupidly designed mains plug from virgin media then it can block the USB ports, they would do much better to be on the sides where they can't be blocked. The price is also a little steep, but as it acts as a power surge and can power up to 8 devices (provided 4 of them are USB) then I'm less fussed about.
