The base coat actually surprised me. I was a cosmo for 3 years & am an ex nail technician. Im usually allergic to everyone, everything, & the entire outside every chemical hints why im an ex nail tech, but this base & top coat kit actually didnt cause me hives or any upset lol cool!! The base coat is actually really awesome in that i use it for gel x.Even my long nails stayed on with this stuff; with proper prep with an 80 grit Hand file only for some reason as the sanding band is too much for a natural nail & creates lifting, and an 80 grit buffing block has the same issue & did not work at all! to keep my nails on bc the surface was too even.So unless i specifically used an 80 grit hand file in my natural nail prep as a cereal lifter & one who bathes frequently for anxiety), & if the tips or press ons are thin & white or light enough with no gel polish on them, such as a natural tip, i can still cure them in my led lamp fully if i gently prep the undersides with a coarse ceramic flame bit on low, & then paint some acid bonder underneath first, & very gently blow it dry.I specifically look for french press ons where the nail bed is particularly translucent, or a very light jelly like pink. no darker than natural shaded nail tips, white tips didnt work for me as there is too much pigment for the light to fully cure. I can also use a natural shade of full cover press on because their thinner than clear but thats personal preference, i usually just buy french full cover press ons from dollar tree. i VERY gently rough the surface w an 80 grit hand file, & edges! Then coat them in gel🙃 I will give my full application used below!I used this base gel with natural tips & made sure to get close to the led & they cured completely for the full 120 to adhere the base with tips.-I have very beautiful & resistant acrylic type nails, when before no gel had ever stuck to me. The top coat is like a tempered glass finish.I had had a bad reaction to expired uv only opi builder gel & switched to beetles. The quality of the product that i purchased is beyond expectations, didnt cause me any upset, or reactions. The top coat is also the SHINIEST & clearest ive ever used. I switched from Intense Seal bc of the smell & yellowing i was getting from nowhere.Id love to do more reviews on this brand, with photos! but cant currently afford the products on my own. Im hoping to save up to afford the gel polishes because their kits are definitely affordable & something id love to invest in, im just on a parental budget lol. Im switching my entire line over to beetles bc of the results ive gotten.The base coat on its own cures with a slight amber tint as any natural resin does, i basically used it as my adhesive. The top coat is crystal clear, as sturdy as the glass on my tablet, & has lasted me through a full shower, & extensive OCD hand filing, where all others have failed. It really is all in the prep, so never use buffing blocks to rough up your nails as it sands your nail too too fine, or even of a finish for gel, where as i saw a clear difference with a black 80 grit nail file after i did my cuticle prep with a ball bit. My nails arent budging. Together they are invincible. I will list my full process below for anyone needing a good regimen. Im autistic & i love to help lol💖💅🏻Prep:•size out & prep underside of tips where they will be adhered with an 80 grit coarse ceramic or metal flame bit on low & then acid bonder, gently blow dry.•Use 90% alcohol to sanitize hands before any services, & then use a lint free pad in alcohol to get all corners. i have found that the 70% has too much water content & doesnt prevent lifting, i had the same issue with any acetone that also contained oils such as the blue ogx. I just use plain 90 iso.•i used a sphere bit to remove any cuticle on the nail plate, make sure to get the sides & corners by cuticles as this is where lifting happens. The sphere bit naturally pushes back my cuticles.•Wipe down with alcohol.•went over nails lightly with a black 80 grit nail file.•alcohol.•opi bondaid ph balancer prep.•fengshangmei 15ml acid primer(this is acid bonder)|Gel|°°°°°°•2 layers of base gel onto nail plate. Dont touch anything & only do 1 hand at a time bc this stuff has a sticky layer you NEED to keep on, needs to be untouched, & its a point of base gel to have the sticky layer for proper adhesion to the next layer that lasts. Avoid getting the sticky layer on the skin & wipe off with a lint free wipe & alcohol immediately if you do to avoid contact dermatitis. This is a dispersion layer of uncured gel.•adhere tips with base gel, mine where natural shade & i made sure to use an led & got close to the light. Cure for 120 seconds. I used a mini handheld sun lamp for this until i switched to the top coat, then i used the bigger led lamp. I also painted an even layer of base gel & didnt flood the well of the tip, the tip cant have any bubbles.•wipe sticky layer with alcohol.• file any overfill being careful not to file the base gel on the natural nail, & prep top of tip for gel application with the 80 grit hand file. Do any tip shaping now.•wipe any dust with alcohol, & a lint free pad from temu.(I put away my mini sun, & switched to the bigger led lamp here.)•for dip application. 1 layer of base gel, then top coat prior to application. This made my nails sturdy & i went over the edges & coated the tip both times. Make sure to flip hand & cure the gel on the underside for 90 seconds or you will have uncured gel under there if the tip isnt clear. If the tip is clear, or your lamp base is mirrored this isnt necessary. I have admittedly shoved a goody hand mirror in there bc im impatient lol(I took a break here! washed my hands as the top gel has sealed everything, &i rehydrated, & ate a chex mix snack with literal lunch lady gloves lol)•Do your dip routine, if app. i followed kira sky's on YouTube, to achieve a proper apex. Before top coat i gently sharpened up my shape with a 180 grit nail file. This gel top coat cures in 90 seconds, & i cured my thumbs separately. I only had to top coat once! to achieve an even full shine & i am ectatic about this!Overall a very good system & money well spent. Their clear acrylic powder in the 4oz jar is the finest & most reliable ive used. I even mixed an oz with a teaspoon of glow in the dark powder, chunky glitters, Its affordable & really versatile. But this gel base & top is invaluable to me🤍💕

On toes, This brand’s top coat, base coat and colors are long lasting….truly. Difficult to remove. Not the same experience for my fingernails BUT TO BE FAIR to the brand….I work a lot with my hands (in water as well) AND NO BRAND has ever lasted on my hands. It’s a GOOD PRODUCT (for some gels, the colors are not true to color pictured).

Beetles gel polishes are really good quality, especially for the price. After trying these out I ordered a set of colored gel polishes from them and was not disappointed. Compared to other brands I’ve tried, this one has a really nice and not-watery consistency. It is beginner friendly and has such a great finish and durable. My nails rarely chip and last me much longer than with other brands I’ve tried in this price range. Soaking off does take an extended amount of time but buffing off some of the product first has helped me. Definitely worth it in my opinion.

Oh my God I love love love this product so the topcoat is self is nice and thick. It does not run it. Please make sure that it is cured all the way or you might experience some itching . The shine is impeccable and if I had to say, it’s a very close second to kupa topcoat. very strong could almost be use like a builder gel but 10 /10 will be purchasing again

I really like that it doesn't have a lot of added chemicals like others and it makes me feel better using it on my daughter. However, it wants to peel off super easy and doesn't last as long as I would like. I have used it for several years now and it seems to peel off faster now than before. Not sure if something changed but even not picking at the polish mine wants to peel off after 3-4 days and then my daughters can peel them off right after I do their nail.

i mean i feel like top coat and base coat is straight forward. my job requires me to be pretty hands-on and i am usually rough with my nails. with proper preparation, i had my gel lasting about a week and a half! for a comparison, my gel sets usually last me only 2 or 3 days with the last base coat i used.the top coat stays nice and shiny for a few days, but does start to get a bit dull after that. i have not noticed any yellowing, either, but i might not have been wearing them long enough to start yellowing.MIGHT recommend this product. i had used it for a few months before replacing them with a different brand of base/top coat. this beetles gel is not my go to, but it still is a good product.

This color is so classic and always looks good. The gel works really well together and cures in LED light. My nails usually last me between 1 and 2 weeks!My friends always ask where I get my nails done but I just do them myself! Way less expensive than the salon and the quality is just as good!To remove, I recommend using a gel-removal product.

This looks great when on, however i had to apply 3 times in one day. Maybe its my nails but it looks great i have left it under the uv light for 1 min then 3 mins and the third time 5 mins, within 3 hrs it just lifts off my nail. Its not expensive but i would not buy again didnt work for me.

The media could not be loaded.  Es sind leider zwei Topcoats in der Verpackung enthalten, statt wie angegeben ein Base- und ein Topcoat.Zudem ist einer der Topcoats völlig unbrauchbar. Klumpen und halb ausgetrocknet, als ob es schon benutzt und versehentlich zu nah an der UV-Lampe gestanden hat.Gefühlt halb ausgehärtet und auch der Pinsel total verklebt…Da zumindest der andere Topcoat, sowie beide Farbgele ganz gut sind und der Versand schnell geklappt hat, gibts zwei Sterne.Würde ich jedoch nicht nochmal kaufen.

Don’t really care much for the foundation thou, when I use the foundation the nails peels

I love this product more than I thought I would! I love beetles gel polishes as the quality and application is always consistently amazing.The foundation gel is easy to apply and it is easy to control what consistency you want. You can build an apex with the foundation gel and it cures very quickly!My old top coat (different brand) required many coats and wiping, and still had scuffing immediately after application. It also was thin, making it difficult to fully cover the nail effectively. Now let’s compare this to the beetles top coat…The beetles top coat, is AMAZING! Application is again very easy, and it covers the entire nail with ease. I found that I didn’t have to wipe this top coat, which was nice! It glosses the nail beautifully and evenly. My nails have never looked better!
