A secure clamp that's a hassle to use
If you want a tablet mount that can handle an iPad Pro 11 in a case there aren't many options. This clamp opens up to about 8" wide, enough to handle an iPad Pro with a thick case (and attached Apple Pencil, if you want). It appears sturdy (for being plastic) with a metal 1/4-20 tripod mount at one end. The design of the clamp allows users to tighten down the clamp without any concern that it's going to suddenly come loose and allow your tablet to crash down to the ground. That said, the clamp isn't perfect. The finely-threaded tightening method means that you have to turn and turn and turn and turn to open or close the clamp. It's annoying and unnecessary. Tripod clamp manufacturers addressed this issue a while ago by using a coarse thread design that opens and closes much more quickly. The second issue is worse. The way the 1/4-20 mount is positioned, it is hard to tightly attach the clamp to a tripod or drone mount because there just isn't much surface area that comes into contact between the clamp and whatever it is being attached to. This means that it has a tendency to twist once a large tablet is inserted into it. In actual use, this becomes a real PITA and is the reason I'm continuing to look for an alternative with a better design. To be fair, my use case is extreme. I'm using a larger tablet in a case with a large hood attached.

Works as Advertised
Fits my 10.5" Samsung tablet just fine. Not a large mounting surface but adequate as long as not moved a lot when in use. If going some distance I'd unmount and remount at the new location. The clamp has gripping pads so only needs to be tight enough to keep table from moving. Too tight and will break either the mount or the pad. Reasonably priced for what it is. It only clamps with any axis of freedom dependent on the tripod on which it is mounted.

Basically a good design
This mount is a good design. It allows me to use the tilt and rotate features of my tripod and has good stability. It will securely hold my iPad (horizontally)(an older generation) and my iPhone (vertically) but will not span my iPad Pro (2nd generation) horizontally.*****edit*****Square Jellyfish reached out to me and we had an extremely cordial email discussion about what sizes the holder would accommodate. They offered a refund but I had decided to keep the mount since it will accommodate other tablets that I own. I am also 'increasing' my rating to 5 stars.

Good sturdy tablet tripod mount.
This is a good sturdy mount that fist my Kindle Fire HD10. I use to mount my tablet to a tripod in front of my rowing machine. It holds the tablet securely, it has rubberized grips, and it seems durable. This screw type holder is not as quick for mounting or removing the tablet as some other types, but it is sturdier and holds more reliably. I just leave the table on the tripod so I prefer this sort of mount.

Not advertised correctly. Does not open to 9 1/2".
This mount will only open to about 8 inches. Why does the add not say that? My iPad is 9 1/2 inches by 6 3/4 inches. Yes it will hold it by the short dimension but using it in a vertical position it is not stable on the tripod. If you need it in the landscape mode, it will work OK. 4-30-20 I have revised my rating from 1 to 2 stars because I was able to modify it to work. I lengthened it by 2.25" by cutting the body and sandwiching it between two pieces of sheet metal.

Does Not Fit 10" tablet
Bought specifically for my iPad Pro, it does not fit, when opened all the way, is less than 9".

Strong, sturdy, easy to use
This seller replied to a question about another of his products. He said the one I chose wouldn't work right and recommended this tablet tripod mount. Wow is what I have to say. You couldn't pay me to get rid of this. I am so impressed with the construction and rugged feel. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tablet A with an after market case and screen saver. My tablet with the case is 22mm thick and the grabbers on this mount exceeds that thickness. The width of my table and case is 6.75 inches and the mount has no trouble reaching out. I finally have something that will hold my tablet firmly in the landscape position on my tripod.

Almost perfect
This is a great tablet mount, however my only complaint is, I wish the bottom surface area was larger(the area where the 1/4-20 connects). If it was larger it would create more friction. Since this area is small you really have to crank it down tight to keep from moving. With that said, It's almost perfect. Its sturdy and extremely light weight. Much better than the cheap spring type clamps.
