Great little tool. Light and easy to use.

I bought this T30 8 in 1 Wall Scanner to find a hidden gas pipe, this great little tool found the exact location of the pipe which made things easier for the job in hand.Have also used the T30 to locate live wires (AC) to light switches, again this little tool showed me where the wires are running in the wall (brick wall with narrow cavity).Have also tested the Magnetic Stud Mode on a ceiling, once again this tool found all the fixings (nails,screws).Stud Mode not only finds the stud it also shows the width and edges.Metal Mode is works just like Stud Mode, and again very precise. The built in level helps with tracing items.Overall the T30 8in 1 Stud Finder (NICEWIN) is a fantastic little tool, does everything it says with precision and makes things a whole lot easier.Really pleased with this tool and at a great price as well.: ) *****

No matter how carefully the instructions are followed, it will not calibrate - it simply runs the bars down and then continues to say “please calibrate against the wall.” It’s very low quality and made of scrappy plastic.It also does not detect electricity conduits in the wire detection mode, even where I know them to be present.worst of all it doesn’t work but what it does do is leave nasty plastic drag marks against the wall no matter how likely you move it if it maintains contact in anyway (as it is required to do to function) it leaves black drag marks on the wall. No matter how carefully and how lightly you press if it remains in contact it leaves nasty marks.I would not buy this again and would advise others against it unless you enjoy hassle of returning products.

I am not 100% sure about the readings of this device. Sometimes it will detect the stud behind the drywall, but next time it won't. In most cases, it displays a warning when electricity is detected, even if the sockets and cables are within a certain distance. Calibration is very confusing. For the price it's ok, but I would pay more to have a more accurate one.

I like the fact that the instructions for set up and the ease of use for detecting hidden services and studs, I used this while fitting a tv bracket to a stud wall and it performed really well and no issue with drilling through stuff as I knew where it was, battons, cables and pipes.

Basic but does the job.

This simple tool helps me accurately locate wall studs for hanging shelves, mountingTV's and securing heavy furniture. This tool made my work easier.
