Mac Ride Front Mounted Child Bike Seat - Blue

First things off, I don't write reviews.I recently purchased a mountain bike to get back into biking. After I bought it, I used it 2-3 times within a month. I just didn't feel motivated. I love spending time with the family so taking time to bike alone or with friends means I get to leave my daughter behind while I go have fun, and I just felt guilty.I thought to myself, what if there was a way to bring my daughter with me. I did a quick online search and found a few options, but the Mac Ride stood out. After a few days I went ahead and ordered this, and waited impatiently until it arrived.I was expecting it on a Saturday but arrived on Friday, at around 7pm I started installing this, by 7:10pm I was done. We took it out for a 4 mile test drive right away. My daughter loved it from the moment she sat on it.On our first ride she just kept on telling me how much she loved riding bike with me, and how she wanted to do this EVERYDAY. This past week I've used my bike more than what I did in an entire month.There are no words to describe the feeling of joy that you get from spending quality time with your children. Knowing that they are truly enjoying the moment as much as you are.This is not just a product, it's an instrument that allows you to bond with your kids.P.S My daughter is 5 years old and is the tallest of her class, my bike has a medium frame and we still ride comfortably.P R O SGreat build qualityExtremely easy to install/removeAdjustable seat & foot pegsStrap keeps feet in placeC O N SWe won't be able to ride together for ever :(From the bottom of my heart I want to thank the people at Mac Ride for allowing me to create memories that I know me and my daughter will never forget.

I am so glad I found this seat. It is very well constructed, easy to install, fits perfectly on my 2004 Specialized Enduro (full-suspension bike), and my two-year-old absolutely loves riding on it with me. The way the seat is positioned, he is very engaged in the action and loves doing real mountain biking with me ( within reason of course). He is able to hang onto the bike’s handlebars, practice changing gears, and use the brakes. I would highly recommend this seat to anyone, especially those who want their child engaged in the bike ride, instead of just along for the ride. Five stars all the way for this seat. If I could make one minor recommendation for improvement, it might be to have a quick release for the Actual seat part itself, because when I am riding alone, I sometimes hit it with my thighs. It would be nice to quickly take the seat part off and on for riding alone or with my son. Again though, five stars all the way.

Bought this seat thinking temhe whole family could finally ride together. Installation was straightforward. If you dont have mechanical skills, dont attempt to install the seat. After installation we rode around the house with no problem. No trails yet. With the seat installed on the bike we took a ride trip to South Padre Texas. The seat Road well installed on the bike, wow on my receiver bike rack. We rode twice in South Padre Texas still no Trails on asphalt and then she did well. We drove home and upon reaching our house I unloaded the bikes and realized the foot portion of the seat was gone, it fell off. The seat was still attached to the bike however the foot portion was gone.

Liked the concept of the product but it is actually quite expensive for what use we will get out of it. The size of the adapter parts that came with it didn't fit our bikes so I had to spend more money to purchase another size. I am surprised that for the price that we paid for the mac ride that they didn't ship me the right size complementary but maybe I just have higher expectations. As far as the little one she likes it but she cannot go for too long before she gets bored and wants to stand up and take her hands off the bars. If she does we will stop and coach her.

We love it! I've taken my 2.5y/o son on several trail rides and he eats it up. It installs quickly and easily, and feels very well made. The only negative is the price. I think that for $150 it would be a great buy. While I'm impressed with it, $200 +$20-30 for shipping, is a bit high.

This thing is GREAT! my 3.5y/o LOVES it... we went out for our 1st ride, and I expected him to be at least a little afraid. He was not, had a smooth section of buffed singletrack, and all i heard from him was "Faster! Faster!" (me peddling in 30t-10t with a good cadence, we got up to about 24mph :-D)Only thing i would ask for is a carbon option to cut down a little weight, this thing is VERY well built. and worth every penny, having my son with me actually made this one of the most fun rides ever (4mi), and I ride 30-45mi a week.I have a full suspension rig, and I don't think my son would have liked it as much, if we were on a hardtail (our trails can get pretty rocky in Vegas). next ride we'll start practicing standing and keeping our knees bent for the rocks,

My son just turned 2. At first he didn’t want to get on because it was “too big.” After being around the bike and my best attempts at explaining the concept to him he warmed up to the idea. I put him on the seat and just pushed the bike around to see how he would react. He immediately smiled and started laughing. After 20 seconds he wanted me to get on and go.There is no turning back. Everyday he comes home from school and yells “bike ride!” It makes me laugh every time we get on because he enjoys it so much. I love that we can explore the neighborhood and bike paths that were not reachable by any other mode of toddler transportation.I have told all of my friends they need to get one for their kids. I haven’t ridden a bike in years. The seat does not add any noticeable balance or control issues that I have noticed. My son is a lot more comfortable too as he will take his hands and grab my biceps at times and I never feel as if he is at risk of falling off.
