Great Set of Emergency Lights
This is a pretty sweet little set. I love the storage case. Makes it easy to toss into my trunk in case of emergencies. The orange led lights have 8 different flashing patterns and if you quickly double press the on/off button you can get 3 bright white leds to turn on as a flashlight. The battery on the bottom is perfect if you need to stick the light on the side of your car or the underside of your hood. There is also a hook to hang the light as well.I hope I never get stranded on the side of the road at night but it's nice to be a little bit prepared just in case.

UPDATE: New Model I Received Works Properly
Update on new and improved model: Received a new model LED Flasher from the company. Battery installation issue is fixed - unscrew the case & pry it open, install the batteries (3 AAA) with nothing popping out, and it works just fine. Also the white LEDs on the top (or bottom) of the flare is now controlled by the switch - cycle through all of the strobe modes and the last one is the white LEDs. Great! If the original model was made like the updated model, there would be no issues in all of these reviews.Original comment...These would have been really good - except - the jumper contact between batteries, - when installing batteries the jumper pops out each and every time. Putting it back in, along with the batteries, is a real pain in the neck. Once you get the batteries installed, they work OK but I still haven't figured out how the white light works...

Poorly made garbage
Garbage. I bought two sets to use as emergency beacons. BOTH sets had 2 that worked fine and one that was defective. On the first set, the clips that held the batteries in the battery box, and made the connections, were unattached to the box. I had to super glue the wires in place in order to get them to stay in and hold the batteries. The unit worked after that and I thought one just slipped through quality control. That was until I opened the second set, put the batteries in and one didn't operate at all. For the money ($50 for two sets) these were certainly more than a disappointment. Lastly, as another review stated, they arrived in a plain white box, no instructions, no manufacturing information, nothing. Fortunately I'm handy and figured out how to turn the white LEDs on myself. I'm not sure these would last one deployment during a vehicle breakdown or other emergency. Not worth the money and I would NOT recommend these to anyone.

Durable, reliable road flare for those terrifying emergencies.
Mine came in great shape and work just as advertised. The little cloth case it came in was a nice touch. I tossed one of these in each of the cars in my house (3 cars, so one flare per car) and they worked really well when I needed them. They're pretty durable and have a rubber casing on the outside, so I was never worried about dropping them or getting it damaged to the point of breaking.Needing to change the batteries (AAA batteries not included) would be the only minor pain in the butt since you need a screwdriver, but I can't imagine I'd change them frequently because of how niche a situation would be for me to leave them on.Didn't come with any instructions, which I wish they did, BUT they instructions are on the Amazon page. Double click twice to get JUST the 3 LED lights which are very bright. I'd definitely recommend these to a friend that needed a quick solution for emergency lights in the car. At roughly $8 a flare, it's a great price!

Bright Light!!
Excellent product with many uses! Have 6 of them now. I keep them in my truck and have used them for road emergencies and one accident that happened right in front of me on an interstate in AZ. Being a retired FF, I keep a jump bag in my truck with basic EMS gear and now have added these to my gear. They are far better than the old road flares as there is no flame or fire involved. These are very bright with multiple patterns for various situations that I may need.

remember to buy batteries
Maybe I missed this point but they did not come with batteries and requires screwdriver to open and add/replace them. Other than that, I've got them in all the cars.

One of three was damaged.
One of three was DOA and not worth returning. Good product, but not so good QA before these hit the door. One unit was either from someone else's return of a really bad unit. Screws were missing and battery would not power up unit.
