I bought these in an effort to use less plastic and packaging (etc) when I buy lunch at my company's cafe. I saw a coworker with something similar and though I'd wanted to do this previously, I thought there would be an issue or push-back from the chefs. Coworker said they hadn't given him trouble (plus they probably feel like it's an overall savings for them since they aren't giving out 'free' food trays and such!). I bought these since they stack all inside and the bonus of the fork and spoon in the neoprene travel sleeve is a great idea! One star off because each utensil and each bowl were house in plastic. I'm assuming it's to prevent "scratches" while traveling to customer, but couldn't the manufacturer use a slip of paper or tissue instead of plastic if this is a big worry? I'm going to try them at the company cafe today and will update review at some point later.5/17/18: Update: Chefs accept these at my company cafe, so happy. I will say that I recently noticed they do not nest together with the lids on each. They are JUST big enough where it's annoying. The little (green size) will nest inside the big (blue) one. I really wish the three would all nest lids and all in the big blue one. Still like them though. Additionally, the neoprene silverware sleeve keeps my utensils clean when stored in my desk drawer. I saw these same style boxes sold for cheaper online, so check that out before purchasing.6/27/19 UPDATE: Still using these. I get most use from the big blue one for my waste free lunch. The seals and tabs are still intact. Do expect to have a bit of scratching if using metal utensils. Pic showing the big and small ones today.

Great products, great quality with good price!I could share this bentos with my daughter, the large one is pretty big for 8 years old; but the medium one is perfect for her.The lid is a bit hard to open for her, I had to spend extra time to teach her how to open it. It's all good now.We also love the extra spoon and fork that came with it!One thing to note that this bento works for "Cold bento", it won't keep food warm.

I bought this for my kindergartner as I was looking for steel boxes with leak-proof lids. this is too hard to open even for me. I have not used it yet, I am afraid all the food will fly off because of the force it needs to open. Definitely cannot be used not for soups!!

We try to use less plastics in our life and these are great for packing lunches for the kids. They are easy to use and seem to seal well. I did not rate the leak proof portion as I have not tested it, but it does seem like they would do well. We really like them. I didn't give 5 stars for durability as they are a little thin and they may get beat up from normal use. I imagine they may get dented a little, but overall they seem great. They are easy to clean as well.

A great product!! We decided to stop using ziplock bags for our kids lunches. These are perfect!

I absolutely love this product!! Mind you I haven’t cleaned or used it yet. But it is dishwasher safe & doesn’t have any little crevices for food to get trapped. The air lock top should keep food fresh. Closes easily. I couldn’t use them for my little ones because they could be a bit tricky to open and close for Elementary kids. However, my health freak picky teenager was thrilled with them! The cute silverware holder is an added bonus and stylish. The silverware is heavy & good quality! The kids seem sturdy & I think this set will last longer than a plastic set! Very happy with this purchase!

easy to use, open and clean. the 3 sizes are adequate for a meal and snack. i'd consider giving it as a gift. the utensils that come with it are stainless steel. its missing a knife but that's ok.

Handy set for lunches and camping. I didnt intend on using this for camping but I almost prefer it! The containers are steel so they are NOT microwave safe- a little less of a help fo trying to get a warm lunch in. The silverware set is good quality and I appreciate the sleeve that goes with it.
