Neal's Yard Remedies Nourishing Lavender Shampoo | Restores Vitality & Cleanses Scalp | 200 ml

Lots of shampoos claim to be "moisturising" or "for dry hair" but strip your hair just as much as any normal shampoo. This is the first one I've found that is genuinely gentle and moisturising. It's rich and creamy. It does clean your hair but doesn't dry it out. I have very curly, dry hair and this shampoo has improved the condition noticeably. Contains no SLS or other harsh cleansers, lasts for ages and has a lovely scent.

I have tried many natural/organic shampoos, all of which dried my scalp out. This is very moisturizing and I find it leaves my scalp much less dry and flaky than the other shampoos. I don't find I need conditioner after using it as it does nourish my hair. It has a cream consistency and does not foam unless you pre mix it with water in a jar/pot or some container, and then apply it to the hair and it does lather. I am too lazy to do this so apply it like a cream, but I tend to use a bit more than other shampoos as they spread better. The only negative is the use within date is only 3 months from opening, but I find as I use a lot of it I go through it before then, but if you don't use it regularly it might expire. Love the ingredients, really clean, and the lavender is a nice soft scent but not too overpowering.

Lovely shampoo, leaves hair tangle free and soft. I have found Neals Yard products are of high quality and although the bottle is quite small, only a very small amount is needed.

Bought the shampoo and conditioner. Both were very bad. Did not clean my hair properly and left it with a ton of residue. Tried it a second time. Ended up just rewashing and conditioning my hair with a different shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo hardly lathers, and the conditioner is more like a lotion. Disappointing!

The shampoo is very gentle so no more itchy scalp, which is great. It hardly lathers at all, so I find you need to use quite a lot and to apply it twice. At about £11 per bottle, that makes it very expensive. Instead of leaving your hair "squeaky clean", it leaves it feeling sort of oily/waxy (even on its own without conditioner). However, after drying, my hair feels lovely and soft and absolutely tangle free. I don't get any more hair falling out and blocking the plug hole. The major dowside is that after two days, my hair feels heavy and greasy and I have to wash it again. I only needed to wash it every 5 days with my old shampoo, so I am going back to that for the time being.

You need loads of it to get any lather and being the price it is...! Also leaves hair feeling like you haven’t washed it properly, it’s very strange. Smells nice but that’s about the only positive. Expensive mistaken purchase I will stick to my normal shampoo

The best thing about this product is the smell, and the worst is the effort required to get it out of the bottle.
