Interesting and historical
This book, The Kings of Israel and Judah is a very interesting read. George Rawlinson brings the great kings to life. The book is large and the cover is gorgeous...the pic makes you want pick it up and read it.

Helpful historical info added in with the Biblical hostory of the northern 10-tribes of "Israel" kings.
On the whole fairly interesting & gives a fuller view of the foreign kings & political /military situations involved & influencing decisions & actions of these kings. There are several typos that at times can confuse the intended atatement, but no worse than in an Agatha Christie collection book of Poirot stories in Kindle ebook form that I have. Helpful for further background info when reading about these kings.

A book on a subject often avoided
Reading the Christian Bible is quite confusing when it comes to weaving together the history the Kings and their Chronicles, especially when the Prophets pronouncements are added. This book, although it does have numerous typos, certainly helped me through the maze. It appears to be well-researched and flows in an easy to read narrative. I believe this author can many through this subject, and allow them to read the story rather than avoid it.

Very informative, great book.
As a dedicated bible reader, I appreciate the way all the kings of Israel and Judea are described in this book. Each chapter, after the king is fully exposed before his death, flows into the next heir of the throne in almost biblical fashion. This book gave me so much information not only about the kings, but also about the prophets who lived at the time of these kings. I will keep this book in my collection as reference material for a long while. This book is one of those rare gems I run across to on Amazon every now and then......

A good compilation of the kings.
This is a good arrangement of scripture by kings. It accumulates the scripture for each king and comments on them. The one quote that no father would ever want to b3 attributed to him is βIt was fortunate for Josiah that his father died so young, since he in this way escaped the corrupting and degrading influences which would otherwise have been brought to bear upon him as he passed from youth to manhood.β

Very informative as well as a good read!
Though language is a little stilted, it was a very enjoyable read. Recommended for those wanting a deeper dive into the lives of Old Testament kings. Brings the scripture alive.
