Flattering, Comfortable, and Expensive to Shrink by Mistake
when I first got them, I loved them. They’re super comfortable, soft, and honestly fit great, especially if you’ve got broad shoulders or a bigger build. They actually made me feel a little better about looking in the mirror, which says a lot. Just felt like a good, solid shirt that actually understood the assignment.Buuut... I made the mistake of washing and drying them on high heat, and yeah... that turned them into regular-sized shirts. Not terrible, but definitely lost that perfect, tailored feel they had fresh out of the bag. Kind of an expensive mistake, especially for tees that aren’t exactly cheap. If you get these, do yourself a favor and wash cold, dry low/med. Trust me.

The comparison you probably wanted: TC vs FCT. BONUS: how to wash your clothes with no shrinking.
These really are great shirts. Nice enough to wear out, even some jobs since they aren't sloppy looking tshirts. Simple, no logos and the slightly tailored fit does work. I love that there are no tags, it's just printed. That fitted look isn't extreme, it isn't simply downsized, and that makes this a different animal than the usual old tshirt. No more Carhartts.**Here's the answer to the question you may have, which also is why I bought the shirts after discovering Fresh Clean Tees first (called "Threads" now). Are they similar? Yes. TC costs a little more, either here or bought directly, but has a tiny bit more premium feel. I like buying here so I don't have to wait for a coupon code for shipping and I have bought here on sale. TC is a little heavier feel, I have no info to back that up. Both are 60/40 cotton/poly shirts. I have a lot of these two brands, I stick to what I like. They both last well, but IMO the TC holds the "new" look longer. FCT tends to change the colors and drop the ones I like, TC tends to keep them around from what I can tell. I tend to stick to a nice dark navy, that's just me. FCT only has that color temporarily.FIT COMPARISON: I'm 6' and 200lbs, not what I'd call an athletic build yet, but an emerging V shape, 34" pants waist. With FCT, I'm kind of between an XL and a L, but I can wear either. The large in TC lands in that range. Out and about, I'll either wear the TC in L or FCT in XL. The XL in TC I just got is on the loose side, giving up some of the fitted benefit. Neither are "tight" I'm not going for that look.At the gym, I sweat a lot to begin with. These shirts make me sweat even more (again, they're 60/40) and hold onto it rather than drying, and get temporarily out of shape. Back in shape after a wash, no worries. They aren't shrinking like a fully cotton shirt, so as an investment, these are shirts that last. Many get washed weekly, if not twice a week. Compared to other shirts I work out in, this one makes me more sweaty. The FCT is a similar experience, but maybe not so much since they do seem a little thinner, even if still a 60/40 blend. My favorite gym shirts are 50 poly, 25 cotton, 25 rayon sold at the gym, made by Next Level Apparel, and although slightly fitted, they aren't quite like TC and FCT in that area for the desired look.Long story short, 5 stars as a great product, probably a little nicer than the direct competition but a little more expensive. Both last, but these look brand new a little longer justifying either one depending on how you feel about it. Note the difference in sizing. What do I want from the company? More henley options, short sleeves and not restrictively tight arms on the long sleeves. Quality to wear alone, not as an undershirt.Washing: it's not 1950, you don't need to wash on hot. Wash cold, dry on low but for a longer time. I've got all brands discussed (TC, FCT, NLA) that are 2 years old or more, no shrinking or very minor with the oldest that are washed weekly, with minimal fading even on the oldest shirts. If it's that bad, wash twice, the first with a little vinegar. Save your clothes people.

Casual, Comfortable, Concealed, Crew Shirts
True Classic are one of my favorite purchases ever.Let's go over basics, "I'm built different" sometimes good and bad. I'm 5'5" and stocky as I used to lift heavy back in the day; not so much these days, but I do fluctuate in weight. I love food too much but realize sometimes I need a diet to go on a diet when clothes don't fit. I tried various shirts but nothing fit to conceal my love handles and barrel chest till I tried the True Classic brand.I actually picked up just one shirt to try out at first. Fell in love with it, and grabbed this 6 pack of crew. I bought a large size because I was over an unhealthy 220lbs and it fit great. Soft and comfortable. Hid my love handles and rolls and was not overly long as I have broad shoulders. I dropped over 45lbs in 4 months, and ended up buying another 6 pack of this directly from True Classic this time but in medium and it fit really well for me.I use all my medium for my everyday shirts, and all the large for the gym. Still the quality and all are amazing for over a year and half. Definitely recommend and last a while.

Inconsistent sizing, but otherwise great
Love these shirts. They are soft, not too heavy, and the fit is excellent... most of the time. Not sure why, but some of the shirts were a little tighter in the chest and/or up to an inch or more shorter than others after washing in cool water and drying on low heat, per the care instructions. I bought a few 6-packs and within the same 6-pack, the sizes varied. Again, most are great. But the few that weren't were uncomfortable to wear or were short, to the point that my stomach showed when lifting my arms.
