Works as expected
I already had a starter kit with one switch and one remote. The new switches worked with the old remote and vice-versa. I'm still bewildered by the process of pairing remotes and switches. One has to pair each switch with each remote by initiating the pairing operation from the switch end. Once you realize that, it works well.It would be nice if one didn't have to use the slider to access all switches. I had a different unit that would just toggle on and off from the remote, so only one button would be needed for each device. For this unit, one button turns on and another button turns off, so 6 buttons are needed for 3 devices, and a slider is necessary to control all switches. Not good or bad, it's just what you get. The remote offers all-on and all-off buttons, and the all-off button is especially convenient to turn everything off on the way out.

Works well
Uses about 0.2 watts each. Savings depends on use. For me, $60/year savings after subtracting power used by 7 Bye-Bye-Standbys.One can program 3 remote control units to work with EACH of 9 outlets. With only 6 on/off buttons, 3 outlets share 2 buttons in my set-up.Have one remote control unit upstairs, downstairs, and in master bedroom. Works well. Rang depends on items between transmitter and receiver; >30 ft with simple internal wall, 8 ft with a speaker between. Therefore, not all remote control unit work for all outlets in all rooms. As an example, the remote control unit upstairs will not turn off the TV downstairs if I’m on the sofa, but will if I’m in the kitchen (or bring the remote downstairs).

Affordable remote control. See tip on how to reset the outlet.
This is an affordable wireless remote that I purchased for my wife so she could remote controlled our various Christmas decorations.Works well and the only issue is the limited range when trying to turn on / off all 5/6 remote outlets when the outlets are placed far from each other.TIP. To reset the outlets to learn the remote button, follow these steps:1. Plug the outlet without any device plug into it2. The outlet has a power switch and LED. Press and hold the power switch until the LED slowly blinks.3. When it blinks, release power switch and press it again until the LED rapidly blinks.4. When it rapidly blinks, press the remote control ON button that you want it to respond. You would notice that the outlet/remote controlwould react to each other indicating it is now sync to one another.5. Press the remote control OFF button to complete the sync.

Turn on by themselves
We love the product and most of the time it works great. A few plugs will randomly turn on, we turn them off and then they click back a few seconds or minutes later. Not all the time but it defeats the purpose of saving energy if they turn on by themselves.Update all the plugs now turn on randomly. The tv will turn on while we are gone or the lights will turn on in the middle of the night. Waste of money. The plugs have had to be reprogrammed every couple of months too.

Great! Ordering Another Set
Very happy with this product. Works as described. Remote looks decent mounted to a door entry using Velcro. Toggle switch allows you to program up to 6 plugs on the one remote. All On/ All Off feature works great and has proven to be very useful. I only have 3 plugs programmed now, but I believe you would have to move the toggle to use All On/Off for plugs 4-5 & 6 if you had all of them in use. Programming was very easy and WORKED FIRST TIME for each plug.I like this product so much that I'm ordering a second identical set to run my living room lamps.Note: I found this 360 rotating outlet adapter to be a helpful add on: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QG8LWQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1because each of the programmable plugs does cover both plugs on the outlet. A plug strip would be another option.

No longer useful. "New Version" went backwards in usability and function. Disappointed.
I had the old version and I loved it. I could leave the socket under furniture, and the remote would work. Now the socket must remain in sight line with remote. Pairing was also a piece of cake, as one couldn't get it wrong with the physical dial on the back. Just set the dial and it is paired with the remote. Now, I can't tell at a glance what a socket is set to and have to go through a pairing process, so don't lose your instructions. Wish I could get the old model. I see zero enhancement to the new version, only drawbacks.

Very happy. My only issue is I now have 6 ...
1 of the 6 outlets does not work. No instructions to reset. Called number on directions, does not work. Website invalid. I have no faith these will last long term. Sent email to seller, well see what happens.Update: seller was quick to reply and quick to send a replacement. Very happy. My only issue is I now have 6 outlets operated by 3 different remotes. I wish I could get them all on one but I can live with it.

We even use the older model of this system to run some indoor function we like them so much
We have this controlling our outdoor lights and it gets a LOT of use - turning off and on when letting the dogs out into the fenced in back yard in the evening. Other than occasional issues with the farthest-placed plug not turning on (Hint: get close to the remote and you'll amplify the range), it works well. We even use the older model of this system to run some indoor function we like them so much. Batteries in the remotes last forever, even with regular usage.
