Delivered in an envelope to save weight on delivery, Single layer Cotton. Not as thick as shown in the photo. You will definitely need to wash and iron it to make it smooth. It should be ok as a fancy dress costume. Not the quality you would imagine a 50's inspired dress to be. Emphasises chest and bum. Get the dress 1 or 2 sizes bigger as it is very small sized XL =12-14 uk more a 12 than 14.

After reading other reviews I bought Medium size afraid of getting a too tight fit. Well the medium was like a medium to me, ie too large. Not too much, I will fix it. The dress has lovely colours and looks gorgeous. Lovely buy very happy with the dress.

This was smaller than expected as I was unsure which was going to be the right size. This was not a problem as I gave it away as a present to someone smaller. They loved it.

Fits well on the body and waist but hangs forward a little too much at the waist. I added a belt to pull it in more. The black and white panel across the bust doesn't sit flat against your décolletage.

Not great sizing, especially as it is hard to work out UK sizes. Not impressed!

Nice dress but the material creases easily.

The quality appearance of the material did not look so when it arrived. However as I only bought it to wear to work in shall keep the product. However if I had bought it has a wear to go out in it would most certainly have returned it.I guess that what comes with online shopping as the photo shoot always look so much better.
