My nephew loves these stories! He mostly speaks English but his Russian mother is teaching him a bit of the Russian language, it is not always easy because the kids in childcare/kindy are all speaking English. So the trick is of course to make the activity interesting and fun so your child will want to participate. This is where this book comes into play, it is a true gem! Peter loves reading these stories, and all the original beauty of the Russian folk tales has been preserved in this edition. What's even better, in this book the stories are told in such an easy-to-read and understand way, unlike a a lot of 'usual' russian folk tales which sometimes even an adult can't understand due to the difficult old-fashioned language.In this book, the reading is fun for adults and kids, and the best part is - your kids will love reading it, no arguments or convincing required! :) What a great way to introduce kids to a second language.

The book is easy to read for people who are just starting to learn Russian language. However, it's cheaply made with awful illustrations. Doesn't worth the money.
