Funny Title, Accurate Stories
I came across this book by people sharing the covers on social media without reading it. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy this read. The author does a good job of leading the reader down a timeline of Marcus’ angst in his relationship with Natalie (a Black American sister) who has no respect for him, and Debra (his “Fat White Co-Worker”) is a supportive friend who encourages and supports the very business ventures that his career-woman tears down before he even gets started. I won’t spoil all of the details, but after reading this it would be easy to understand why a guy like Marcus would leave his girlfriend for a woman like Debra. I look forward to reading the other stories in this series.

Hated
Every fiber of my bring hated this book and the misogyny and overt disdain for black women. The author had nothing nice to say about black women be they from the islands or African American. The book was shallow and sought to perpetuate divisive attitudes. The worst book I ever read.

Quick Read
I hated how long Marcus stayed in the relationship. This was a good storyline and idea with fast-paced chapters. I like the ending. I feel it could have more depth to the writing, but that's just me.

Fella got her groove back!
This book was guilty pleasure for me. This book is a redemption story for every black man that's ever been nagged to death by his woman. Even if they don't admit it, every black man wants to have this happen to him.
