Product
Excellent use for the price, looks good, nice quality and very easy to use. Gives a nice grip to the handle bars and is quite comfortable.

Good bar tape
This kind of tape is what I like for the canvas texture and cool colors. Holds up well. Not quite enough for both sides of drop bars. Next time I’ll order more length.

Simple, effective, beautiful
The best handlebar tape. The rider will have a firm and confident grip on the handlebars: no squish, no foamy mass. Compensate for the tape's absence of cushion with bike gloves. The tape is also great for wrapping kickstands to prevent damage to the crank arm.

Good Quality Handlebar Tape...
Previously, I bought a handlebar "tape" that was a highly flexible rubberized kind of material. I wanted to use it for the handle of my lawnmower, because the original "tape" had ripped apart due to hitting my chain-link fence while cutting the lawn and getting close to the fence in various locations. At first, I liked this other tape because it was more "cushion-y" as compared to standard, cloth handlebar tape. Within a few months, that replacement tape ripped WORSE than the original material on the handlebar of the mower. I then bought THIS tape and applied it DIRECTLY overtop the most recent tape I had installed (even though that tape was ripped). This cloth handlebar tape applied in the same way that I am used to experiencing when I have applied similar cloth tape to bicycle handlebars in the past. Ever since I applied this new, cloth handlebar tape, it has worked EXTREMELY WELL for the past 6+ months... under that EXACT same conditions as the other tape that ripped. The fact that this tape is performing well within the time period so far, I expect that it will continue to "perform" well for the next several years. And THAT is the reason why I bought it. In short, I did NOT want another handlebar product that only lasted a few weeks before tearing. Based on current performance, this product will go the distance... lasting for YEARS. Use it with the CONFIDENCE that it will perform well for you.

Not Color Fast*
*EDIT As of the original writing, I had no idea this tape needed to be shellacked. Due to some other reviewers' comments, I'm changing my rating up to three. I will give it a four if the seller mentions its need for shellacking in the product profile. /EDIT I had high hopes for this bar tape to be paired with red tape, and harlequin wrapped onto my girlfriend's commuter. The tape was relatively easy to work onto the bars, the feeling of cotton soft to the touch and ever so slightly shock absorbent. When I installed it, the color was rich an saturated and made for striking visual addition with the red tape. Unfortunately, within three months of occasional use and mostly shaded storage, the two tapes faded faster than Chumbawamba's musical career. The red became a desaturated mauve, and the black somewhat of a taupe. Perhaps I should have urethane varnished them, but then, what would be the point of cloth tape if one coats it with plastic? I give it four stars for feeling and ease of installation, and a weighted one star for color fastness. Because, well, the point of buying a silly colored thing, say, instead of a plain black thing is you want something COLORFUL to look at. Pros: Soft, luxurious feel Terrific initial color saturation Sticky backing is helpful Cons: Not color fast Bottom line: Nice tape, I would buy it again. As an aside, I caught a big black carpenter bee eating the tape the other day. Mmm, sweaty handlebar tape. Weird.

Best cotton tape. Period.
Newbaums is THE handlebar tape for vintage and "Rivendell" type bikes. So far better than the O.G. French ones. It's thicker, longer, and available is a plethora of colors. I have used it since it came onto the scene. You cannot go wrong. Take your time wrapping it and it will last for a loooooong time.

Good tape but overpriced - very short roll.

It actually is 2 rolls!

This is a good quality non-padded cloth tape, but at a cost of about $40 dollars to do a road bike the new pricing is way out of line. For drop bars you'll need at least 2 rolls. I would have given one star for the pricing alone except the tape quality bumped the rating up. Try a local bike shop instead.

I've used this before, it does fade over time, which is nice in my opinion. And it does fray over time. But it's cotton and feels nice, doesn't make my hands sweat or smell on long rides, looks decent, easy to put on.
