Meh
It came with weird instructions and then did not work. After trying three new batteries no life at all. In theory though, it seemed like it would be awesome. I'll try another brand. Meanwhile, I also tried the X-mat Foldable Training Mat and that seems to work great. No dogs like prickly things on their toes!

Poor quality, doesn't work, very glitchy
It gets one star because you can't review with 0 stars. I've only installed brand new batteries in this mat, and it has never worked. The first day seemed to be fine, when I got home I couldn't tell if my 2 cats tested it, but was surprised when the alarm started buzzing with the "low" LED which seemed to mean the battery was already drained after being on the "high" setting for 6 hours. Then the whole thing went berserk... didn't matter how many new batteries I bought, it would turn on for up to a minute before the LED's started going crazy, sometimes accompanied by a beeping, sometimes no beeping, sometimes the alarm sound at random, but no matter what the thing was doing it wasn't running any power through the contacts. I never felt more than the faint buzz you felt on the glass screen of an old tube TV that had been on for a few hours. By the 3rd day and 2nd pack of batteries there are paw prints all over the mat. Garbage.

Keeps the dogs off the furniture. They hate it so much after the fist time of getting on it you don't even need to turn it on anymore. The shock is mild and DOES NOT HURT THE DOGS. I would never use anything that would hurt my dogs but it has just enough of a zap to keep them away. I have sat on it myself to be sure. It's also fun to tease the kids and friends with. Here sit down. LOL They only do it one time

Dog thinks it’s comfy
Here’s the dog sleeping on the mat. I have it on high. Yesterday I only did medium thinking I didn’t want to overdo it, but it didn’t bother him so today I did high and he’s still sleeping comfortably on the dang couch!! Waste of money and I’m returning it!

Blinking indication light
The first one i received did not work. The company promptly sent a new one that works. I like the price and size of the pad. The only thing i dont like is how the LED light blinks showing it is on. My pets have figured out when it is on/off. They are a bit stubborn and need a surprise to break their habits.

I sent it back ASAP .. was really hoping this would work .. it was so bad that my dog actually laid on it with no static shock at all lol .. don't waist your money

Love it!
FINALLY found a solution that keeps my very stubborn cat from ripping up the carpet in front of closed doors. I tested it on myself on all three settings, and it doesn’t hurt any more that touching something on a very static-y day. It startled her more than anything else, but now she doesn’t ruin my carpets. Love it!!

I had a little bit of trouble getting it to activate initially but after a few times, it worked fine. My dogs won't get on the furniture while this device is present but the Pavlov's theory has yet to take its course. Could be more of a user issue than a product defect though???
