Nice Kaftan Thobe Long Sleeve Robe
I'm 5'8" 140lbs and getting size M fits me just perfectly. That said, if you are bigger than me, I would buy a size up. It's made of Linen, so there isn't really any stretching room available. If I wear another long sleeve inside, it good to keep me warm. It's not thin nor very thick material. I usually use a vertical steam iron after using the washer at it usually comes out quite wrinkled.

Interesting Linen Tunic That Runs Slim
I'm way behind on reviewing this because I planned using it for a holiday event. I tried it on today, and it's a very interesting garment.First, I'll supply that I'm a lady ordering/wearing it. I ordered an XL, and it fit me with my measurements of 5'8" and 48/38/48 as described below:Shoulders are great - ever so slightly wider than my shoulders. I HATE when shoulders are too tight, and this is why I wear men's garments so often.Sleeves were too long, but again: love that to them being too short. I can roll up sleeves all day.Overall length: well past my knees, so other women who might look at this and think: cute fall/winter dress to belt - Yes. I can see that even with me - it'd be very modest, but still interesting with the offset buttons at bust/chest.Speaking of chest/bust - Fit really nicely, with just the right amount of room.NOW - if you check the chart, it SHOULD be big on me, with my 48/38 middle regions. This shirt absolutely has slim cut dimensions. The neck opening is small: I needed to open a button to get it on, and then it was still very close. The body all the way through was a closer fit, but not tight. Very comfortable.I'm washing it, which I always do and will dry it some in the drying on low, then probably either hang or rack dry it to finish and, I'm sure, it will need some ironing.Overall, it's a cool garment. It would be GREAT for cosplay and festival wear. I may pass on to my 6'5" son, who would do this length proud. Or I may keep it and rock it with cool belts, tights and boots this winter.Just keep in mind that it is a slim cut on the body.I'll update if it shrinks a ton during washing.:) I like it.

Very comfortable, exactly what I wanted
1. This is wonderful. The fabric (listed as a cotton-linen blend) is very comfortable, and traditional; it feels like it is supposed to feel. (A lot of garments these days claim linen blend but are really some kind of modern polyester at some level, but this feels natural and behaves the way it is supposed to. I believe the fabric blend.)2. You might want to go a size UP. Sizing is a bit small/slim, but not problematically for me: I am 5'9" and 160lbs, wear a size small (for a good torso fit) to size medium (to get the shoulders and arms to fit right in long-sleeve styles), and for this kaftan I ordered a size medium. It fits my body perfectly: snug/slim in the torso, and just the right length in the sleeves, with a neck closure that is comfortable (neither too loose nor too tight, just right). Be aware that if you're looking for a big loose-fitting medium, you'll want to go up one size: this has a slim-fit through the shoulders, armpits, chest, and sleeve length. The bottom hem (length) is roomy and provides plenty of width around the waist and upper legs.3. The buttons are stylish, high-quality, and unique in their finish. The button holes are a little tight (at least at first, they may stretch/loosen over time). I don't expect ANY issues from this, but it is worth noting in case anyone has trouble with their hands-- it took a little bit of work to get each button through. Given the natural fiber fabric, I completely expect this to loosen over time.4. The listing for this garment says that it CAN be machine washed, but I would recommend sticking to hand-washing (or at least using garment protection bags on a gentle cycle in the machine). This is a traditional and natural fiber construction, with the feel of hand-made/heirloom quality, and I think it deserves being treated with a little bit of extra care. (You might even prefer professional laundering or dry-cleaning, which is my plan: any nice shirt worth wearing is worth having professionally cleaned, so it comes back whole and pressed and ready to last a lifetime.)

Unusual style in a thobe but very nice.
Very nicely styles thobe, although I'm not sure how the styling would pass for wearing in Saudi Arabia. But, perhaps quite acceptable. I really like the styling and wear it regularly. It fits perfectly. And, I'm not in Arabia so I enjoy it very much without fear of criticism.

Looks great until you put it on
I measured carefully before I ordered this and even went a size up. Unfortunately, it was still too small, especially in the arms themselves. I am admittedly a rather robust fellow, but even with sizing up, this simply did not fit. The arms were not sized up appropriately, so as a result nothing else about this caftan fit.Which is a pity, because I really loved the quality of the detailing on the chest. Over all, the construction of the garment was good, and I really liked the feel of the fabric - you can tell once it's been worn and laundered a few times, it would be very comfortable indeed. The downside was that whomever designed it didn't take in to account that someone with a larger chest would need more room in the upper arms!
