This product has more than served its purpose. My husband has used it every time we've gone fishing. He loves it.

Fillet knife is very sharp and the clamp allows you to hold your fish without HOLDING your fish to fillet it. Nice for most freshwater fish.

Has the basics for fish cleaning safely..items seem to be of good quality, at least for their price point. Not disappointed, so far I would say I'd buy again.

So do some fishing here and there and thought this would be nice.Ill just go in order.Pros : The "tail" holder has a strong spring and works wellThe knife has a decent descalerThe board is solid and the measurements seem ok for a fisherman... hint hint.Cons: The knifes blade is fair, I did use the sharpener however it takes alot of material off .The board slides around, you will need to mount it so drilling or some way to hold it will be necessary.The knife grip is ok.The gloves will protect you on a slow cut but maybe not a fast shear. They are comfortable but provide minimal protection along with there hard for fish management.50/50 for me

I don’t do much of any fresh water fishing. Spend the majority of my fishing time on the salt water for salmon, rock fish, lings, etc…. What I’m trying to say (politely) is that there is no way in H E double hockey sticks that this bamboo board with a clamp and ruler integrated is going to do me any much of any good. Am I going to try it???? Absolutely. When next fishing season opens up this is going on the boat. If anything it’s a nice bait cutting board. I do like the grooves in the cutting board and can see how that will help hold things a little …. ??? ….. I don’t know but it looks like a fish won’t slip around as much. The knife….sharp edge right outta the box. I like the rubber handle. For a plastic handle it’s actually a good feeling knife and again, will be a good boat fillet / bait knife. Most likely won’t hold up to salt water but I don’t care. The knife sharpener is your basic little plastic sharpener. Good in a pinch but that’s about it. Now for the ….funny part???? The gloves. So there I was sitting in our kitchen when I had my wife feel the edge on the fillet knife. At the same time I put one of the cut resistant gloves on. I held my hand out and told her to try it out on my palm. Son of a biscuit if she didn’t take me seriously and she Frickin did it before I had the opportunity to tell her I was only joking. Nevertheless, no blood. Didn’t go through the glove at all. Seriously though….DONT TRY THAT ITS JUST NOT SMART!!!! After taking the glove off I put it on the cutting board and ran the knife over the glove to see how it held up. I didn’t go full in on it but put some pressure behind it and it did not go through at all. Should you trust it? Absolutely not. Should you wear it just incase you do accidentally cut yourself and it might help??? Duh. All in all…nice little set for the price.
